Description
Fancy getting creative with glass?!? Whether you have had a go at fused glass before or a complete beginner, then come along and turn your designs in to glass. Create a beautiful plant to catch the light, to be able to show off to everyone! You won't even need to water it! During the 3 hour session you will be shown how to cut glass, layer glass and also how to design your pieces from your own ideas. With all sorts of colours and forms of glass and techniques available for you to use, be as adventurous as you want!! You will be shown how to safely use the tools and equipment and then it’s over to you (along with help and advice along the way) to turn your ideas into art! The courses are held at Glass Quarter Designs, Studio 14 on the site of the Red House Glass cone, near Stourbridge in the heart of the Glass Quarter. You can spend some time looking around the site, absorbing the history and visiting the other Art and Craft Studios. There is also a coffee shop on site if you get peckish but we will be popping the kettle on for teas and coffees to keep the workshop going! Your pieces will need to be fired over night, but will be available for collection a few days after the course. Or they can be posted for a small additional postage fee.
