Four Tuesday afternoon art classes in Stockton Brook with Louise Adams
Description
Come and enjoy four classes at our new weekly Tuesday afternoon art sessions, suitable for beginners to those who would like to get back into something artistic. The weekly art classes are led by Louise Adams, an artist and designer who will give individual tuition and support. Tuesday and Saturday morning classes are full, so Louise decided to offer a new one, and hopes you can come along! Book a four week block of classes on dates to suit you. You can choose when to come. Louise studied at North Staffordshire Polytechnic and The Royal College of Art, worked as a designer in the Ceramic industry, becoming Art Director at The Royal Crown Derby Porcelain Company. She paints and designs now from home as well as teaches .... all of which inspire her every day. The classes are based in the spacious, warm Stockton Brook Scout & Guide HQ, set in beautiful North Staffordshire. Louise sends out an interesting weekly newsletter and often brings flowers and other interesting items to paint. She’ll show you some of her ideas and techniques and most of all, inspire your creativity. We’ve explored many inspirations during this last year, from Nature, Birds, Buildings and Flowers, to Pop Art, Impressionism, Figures in a Landscape, Portraits, Flowers and Gardens. Through these, we look at composition, tone, colour, perspective .... all in a fun and creative way. You can work in a variety of artists' materials from beautiful soft pastels to watercolours and gouache, acrylics and coloured pencil. The building is next to a species rich wildflower meadow, the Caldon Canal and lovely slopes with views across a valley. When the weather is good, we can work outside.
