This terms projects will focus on people and portraits. This term I will be introducing you to drawing and painting figures, proportions for completing portraits and I will encourage you to find out more about portrait artists. You are always welcome to work on your own project, I am always on hand to help. Who is the course for? Ideal for beginners and seasoned artists alike! Whether you're a beginner or an experienced artist, you'll enjoy exploring various media through short projects with the guidance of a qualified and experienced tutor. What will the course cover? During the course, you'll have the chance to: - Follow tutor-led projects designed to enhance your skills. - Work on your own project ideas and explore different media choices. - Learn simple techniques and get introductions to new media through demonstrations. I will be on hand throughout the course to provide support and guidance tailored to your needs. What you will need: No specific media is required—you'll use your own art equipment. For the first session, please bring: - A sketching pad or cartridge paper. - A selection of graphite pencils. - An eraser and pencil sharpener. 🎨 Later in the course you may like to us coloured pencils, watercolours, gouache, acrylics or pastels. If you wish to purchase additional media, I can offer advice and support. Join us for a creative journey that will expand your artistic horizons and enhance your skills! As an intermediate or advanced student you will be encouraged develop your skills and set your own goals. You can work along with the project for the course or dip in and out. I demonstrate a wide variety of mediums and I'm always happy for you to request specific things.

No specific media is required—you'll use your own art equipment. For the first session you will need:

You may also want to bring your usual painting equipment (if you have any).

Yes, I do ask that under 16's attend with an adult to support and supervise them. I also suggest that the course isn't suitable for those under 6. But I am happy to discuss your needs on an individual basis. Feel free to get in touch.

Yes, the course usually has a half-term break for one session. You may also find that if your course is on a Bank holiday Monday the course will pause until the following week.
