1 Day Furniture Stripping Workshop
Description
This short course is designed to teach the student chemical stripping and neutralising on period, reproduction or mid century furniture. We use an industrial stripping agent called paramose which can strip anything from waxes to two part spray finishes. We will either neutralise with a cellulose thinner or water which will clean it back to bare wood whilst maintaining period character. Being a French polisher I’ll be teaching trade methods to stripping furniture quickly and safely meaning you can get onto sanding and refinishing much quicker than trying on shelf stripping agents. Note - Sanding techniques will be taught if time allows.
