"The first session I had with Frank would have been difficult to follow. However this, the second session surpassed any expectations. Frank has a way of making the difficult to understand, seem so easy. His patience and his step by step approach to instruction makes sure that you are sure to finish the sessions a far more informed and competent person than you started. "This review is on behalf of my wife who joined Frank for a ' Training /Mentoring' session. The minute you meet Frank he filled my wife with a quiet confidence and one felt there would be no silly questions she could ask. She wanted to learn at least one thing from the session but came away with an increased confidence and having learned so many facets of photography. Frank immediately put her at ease and encouraged and supported as she began to take photographs in a variety of settings. Starting with scenic shots and then on to wildlife photography, the opportunity to ask questions and refresh her knowledge was excellent. Back to the Bridge Inn for some light refreshment and a look back on the shots taken was an excellent evaluation of the day's events. Frank continued to introduce new ideas and web sites to search where photographs taken can be analysed and changed to enhance the picture quality and if appropriate from colour to black and white. Frank reiterated her learning had only just begun and to go forth and practice while wishing her to keep in touch and share her experiences . 5 * from Mags and sincere thanks from me. One could not wish for a better tutor whom I would highly recommend to anyone wanting to learn from scratch to those with limited knowledge of photography . This tutor is first class."

"An excellent course for the photographer at any level. Although, the course notes state Intermediate/Advanced level, don't let that put you off as a beginner. Frank has an excellent teaching style, that is relaxed and tailored to the skill of the individual. I felt that the main importance of my time on the course was to have fun and take photographs, all the time learning through practice and example rather than being full of technical terms. Don't get me wrong, if you want techy terms he has techy terms. I learned more in the time spent on the course, than reading the various photography magazines. The weather didn't allow for night shooting, but the relevant techniques were taught using a 10 stop filter (see I learned something). I would recommend this course, and try and stay at the pub, you'll not regret it."

"Frank has an air about him that immediately puts you at ease. His knowledge of the subject and locations are excellent and his ability to adapt to the prevailing conditions was impressive - considering we had all the elements that could be thrown at us over the weekend workshop (and despite the weather preventing any night photography) I thorough enjoyed the experience, including the wonderful accommodation and food - I will be back!"

"Beautiful location and the course was good. I have learnt new techniques regarding landscape photography. Frank is a amazing teacher, teaches in practical relaxing way rather than sticking on more theoretical way. I feel like I walked away with great images and an even better knowledge of landscape photography. It was really a wonderful opportunity to learn and broaden my skills with his help and guidance. The editing techniques on Mac are so cooI. I really did not find any negatives. I only wished if the workshop is for long i.e few more days."
