Maker's bio

Having developed a passion for wildlife and nature from a young age, I am now very fortunate to live in the beautiful village of Foyers, a small Highland community on the south-side of Loch Ness. I have a degree in Wildlife Biology, a post graduate Diploma in Occupational Therapy and am currently employed as a Specialist Occupational Therapist at Highland Hospice, where I am privileged to manage a small but dedicated team of therapists. A much loved and very special part of my role is the facilitation of therapeutic patient art groups in our purpose built Art Room. I love sharing creativity. I also work from a small pottery studio in Lower Foyers, just 5 minutes walk from the famous Falls of Foyers and the shores of Loch Ness. I thrive on exploring new processes having developed skills in ceramics, enamelling, jewellery making and printmaking. Jen x

Margaret MacLarty reviewed: Beginners polymer clay festive workshop

"The workshop was absolutely excellent. It was very well organised and there was a fantastic range of materials and tools to choose from. Jen made me feel feel very welcome and her style of teaching was interactive and informative but relaxed which was great. In terms of value for money it was excellent and there was far more materials to use than I had imagined. It was also brilliant we could take some of our makes away to finish at home. Thank you Jen for sharing your craft and talent! Really hope there is a follow up workshop!!??"

Lindsay MacVicar reviewed: Beginners polymer clay festive workshop

"Extensive range of materials, very well organised day. Everything was prepared and ready for us. Jen was patient and helpful. There was a relaxed friendly atmosphere and a lot of thought had gone into making it a fun and productive workshop. I felt the price of the workshop was very reasonable given the extent of materials provided and level of tuition / help given."
