Maker's bio

Classes are taught by Vanessa Miller & Tom Asquith in their workshop. Vanessa regularly teaches jewellery making across Birmingham, studied Jewellery & Silversmithing (HND) at The School of Jewellery BCU & returned as an Artist in Residence. Tom studied Applied Arts (BA) at Wolverhampton Uni & continued his training in Jewellery & Silversmithing at Bishopsland & has won many awards for his craft. He was Artist in Residence & Technician at The School of Jewellery BCU supporting student learning.

"We had the best 2.5 hours with Vanessa. I booked in for my husband and I to have a session where we both made our own silver rings. The session was excellent. We both enjoyed the experience. We both love the rings we have made and will wear them with pride. We laughed, chatted and made something beautiful. Vanessa is an excellent teacher and ensured we went at a pace suitable to us. I would heartily recommend."

"Myself and my partner did the make a ring class for my birthday and had such a lovely day doing it. We were made to feel very comfortable handling the different tools and got a beautiful ring at the end of it. Vanessa was very patient and calm and even supplied me with a little present for my birthday! Would definitely recommend anyone to do this. "
