"I went to the Silk Scarf Painting Workshop a few days ago with a few friends to celebrate a friend’s special birthday. It was absolutely wonderful - we all had a great time, had a lot of fun and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We were of quite mixed ability in terms of craft work, but even the person who was slightly anxious about her lack of skills, enjoyed the whole experience. "Thank you Ruth for a really wonderful day. I had no arty skills at all, yet made a beautiful scarf, with expert tuition. Lovely surroundings, social distancing was perfect, just four of us around a large kitchen table, with our masks on. Felt very safe. Didn't know what to expect, was very pleasantly surprised to find skills I did not know I had. A brilliant birthday present from my son and daughter in law. Thank you so much."

"We were the first post lock down group. Just three of us so plenty of space. Very relaxing day with no need to be 'arty' at all. Took lunch outside so good to be mask free for that time. Came away with 2 samples which will make 2 cushion fronts and a wearable scarf. Very productive day. A scarf is included in the price but it's a little extra for one you can wear multi ways. Thank you Ruth"

"I've been on two courses and they were both really great. I had never tried silk painting before but with Ruth's explanation, patients and encouragement I throughly enjoyed it. The courses are set in beautiful surroundings and you get to make new friends, I went with my daughter and when we got in the car to leave we both commented about how relaxed we felt. "Although I have been doing Watercolour painting for a few years, I have never painted on silk, and imagined it to be very difficult. Therefore it was with some trepidation that I struggled through the snow to Ruth's house. However, there was absolutely nothing to worry about. Ruth was such an enthusiastic and patient instructor that whatever technique we used we all seemed to produce something wonderful. We had a really lovely day and I, for one, found the whole experience very therapeutic. All those who have seen my finished scarf have been very impressed and interested in trying it for themselves. "A completely different experience for me. I’m not artistic and would never have thought of signing up for a Silk Painting course, especially having seen the beautiful scarves Ruth has produced. However, she persuaded me to go along and try it, and I had a thoroughly enjoyable time. Ruth was just so generous with her time and suggestions – and endless cups of tea and coffee! I not only amazed myself with the scarf I made but friends couldn’t believe I had achieved anything so pretty. There was much encouragement all round and fun to see what other folk had created.
