"Bought a day's class for my husband and me as a Christmas gift and we booked for yesterday. Had a comfortable stay in a local hotel (1min away!) on Dilys' recommendation so arrived fresh for our day. Dilys runs her classes in her own home which was so cosy and welcoming . Had a good safety briefing then proceeded to choose our first pieces that were completed before the break for lunch. We are hooked on this enameling thing! The rest of the day was just as productive and we ended up with 5 pieces to take home (plus a few things that Dilys had previously produced. In addition, we left with a wealth of information about products and techniques as well as some confidence to 'play' with our own kiln and projects. Will not be our last visit to Dilys! Wonderful day. Thank you."

"Had such a fab day with a friend learning to enamel. Dilys was such a good teacher and I was amazed at the quality if the pieces we managed to make under her guidance. Everything was provided and I mean everything, including glasses wipes and throat sweets for my cold! Such an enjoyable day. Thank you."

"This enamelling course was given to me as a Christmas present. I was able to share this gift with my daughter and sister. Dilys welcomed us into her home and workshop and nothing was too much trouble, she even arranged for us to have an early lunch so that we could watch some of the royal wedding. She is an excellent teacher, carefully explaining and demonstrating the different techniques as well as the health and safety of using the kiln. She allowed us to make whatever we wanted and just guided through each method. We all had a thoroughly enjoyable day and being inspired by her own stunning examples, we each made a collection of maple leaves, flowers, a plaque and my daughter even had time to make a small cross. I would highly recommend the course and will be definitely be booking a follow up course to learn the techniques of Cloisonné. Thank you Dilys."

"Just spent the most wonderful day at Dilys' studio. She is a calm, informative tutor, providing quality instruction in a a homely environment. We created a variety of pieces, including leaf art, coasters dragonflies and unique art designs. Dilys demonstrated a range of techniques and then supported us in our creations. Nothing was too much for her and she gave us cups of tea! We thoroughly enjoyed our day and came away very proud of our craft. Thank you Dilys xx"

"What a fantastic day. I'm still thinking about it three days later and itching to have another go. It's incredible how much we achieved in one day - all down to Dilys of course! Dilys is an excellent teacher, very passionate about enamelling and also very patient when we kept asking questions. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who would like to have a go at enamelling - it's amazing and you'll definitely get the enamelling bug!"

"I am not the most creative of people, so when friends suggested an enamelling day I was a bit apprehensive. However, the day was with Dilys (and Chloe) and it was brilliant! Dilys is such a lovely, generous person and this comes across in the excellent way she teaches. She guides you through the day with a calm encouragement and before you know it, you’re experimenting with different techniques and excitedly waiting to see what treasures might emerge from the kiln! Dilys’ workroom is a comfortable space full of all the materials you need. Thank you Dilys for giving me the enamelling bug and hope to book another day before too long!"

"What a brilliant day! Dilys is a really excellent teacher and a master of her craft. I went with two friends and can confess to feeling a little nervous about it all. Dilys is very calm and full of enthusiasm and encouragement which enabled each one us to make something special. "We have just returned home clutching the enamelled items that we made. We have attended a lot of courses booked through Craft Courses and this was one of the best. Careful tutoring with the right level of intervention so you are supported but not left 'watching'. We were both surprised how quickly we gained confidence during the day and tried more detailed pieces - from a zero experience base. Dilys is an excellent teacher but also a master of her craft. Highly recommended."

"What a fantastic day. I have no creative skills but my daughter, who is very creative, asked me to go along with her. However, Dilys is a fantastic, patient and inspiring teacher who enabled me to produce some fantastic earrings and a pendant whilst my daughter explored a number of different techniques and made a whole range of wonderful items. It has inspired both of us to want to take up enamelling as a hobby and we will certainly be returning to have another session. Lovely little dog too!"

"We took this amazing day course as a part of my friend's birthday. It was such a good choice and so much fun! I flew in from Switzerland and was so happy I did. If only I lived closer, I believe the lovely Dylis would have turned me into an enamelist. Be it her welcoming and helpful personality, her precious dog Chloe or the excitement of watching your projects turn into beautiful but easy masterpieces, I would have certainly been a goner! "I spent a fantastic day with my Mum, my Sister and her friend, Tricia at Dilys's house yesterday! It was a surprise for my Sister's 30th! From the outset, Dilys made us feel welcome. Her knowledge of enamelling is amazing, her teaching style is educational, fun and also strangely relaxing!! We all left with 3 different pieces of work that we were all immensely proud of! "Had a lovely day celebrating my 60th birthday. Although I have done many arts and crafts this was my first attempt at enameling and it was so good I can honestly say it wont be my last. (Sorry Dilys we will be back)!!! Concentration is needed but both my daughter and I came out feeling so relaxed completely de-stressed. If thinking about enameling - just do it, what ever your age or ability you will be warmly welcomed and leave feeling like an artist. Just be warned - Dilys's home is amazing, both she and her husband have fantastic artistic talents, I have my eye on a water colour for my next birthday present. "Came back for a 2nd day with Dilys and this time brought my sister and my Mum. I knew they would catch the same enthusiastic bug as I did and sure enough, by the end of the day we had another 2 enthusiastic novice enamellers. To quote my 70 year old mum, " it's been like having a day out with a mate instead of being with a tutor. Dilys is so patient, friendly and helpful that you don't feel like you're being taught, rather that you are just all having a fun day out. It was engrossing and so different. I loved it". "Myself and three friend went along for a day to try our hand at enamelling . Three of us were newcomers, and one had been before. We all had such fun - it is so exciting when you walk into a craft room full of little bottles of colour. I was worried it was going to be difficult but found it quite easy to pick up - although more visits may be required to explore the colours! Dilys was a lovely teacher, who made us all feel very welcome and pitched the course at just the right level. I am very much looking forward to booking again because I would like to explore enamelling pictures and creating images through enamel."

"I have taken advantage of 2 of Dilys' enamelling workshops and have discovered a love of enamelling and will definitely be booking another one. The tuition is excellent and I was amazed at the wonderful pieces I came away with. Dilys was very patient and positive, making you feel wonderful about your creations. For me the fact that you can take away what you have made on the day (unlike lampwork and glass fusion) was an added bonus."
