"This was my first experience of wood turning. Rick was excellent at explaining the various techniques and tools to be used. His explanation of good workshop practice was very reassuring that I was in a safe environment. His workshop while small is well provisioned for 2 students. Rick encouraged and complimented me and showed patience. I thoroughly enjoyed the day and would not hesitate to recommend attendance. The day finished with Rick offering to assist/advise in the future with wood turning but also with obtaining and setting up equipment. A great day. Thank you."

"Rick is an excellent tutor, clear in his explanations and methodical in his approach. I was very pleased with the high quality of my finished product,- a lidded box, - due to the high standards he follows and the expectation that his student will work, even as a novice, toward the same precise result. Along with all that I found Rick to be very friendly and adaptable to individual needs and ability as the day progressed."

"Thoroughly enjoyable day with attentive tuition and a really nice atmosphere. Rick made myself and the other student both feel highly supported and yet gave us choices and opportunities to really get productive. Learned so much -the time flew by-and yet the pace and structure of the day was ideal. Also a nice relaxed lunch and a very pleasant time in their company. Highly recommend this tutor and his workshop!"
