"Had course as a Christmas present from my husband and what a lovely one it was. I had a brilliant time. Rachel is so welcoming, explaining everything in detail step by step. All course materials were provided even down to the bead needle being threaded for you. No question felt like a stupid one and Rachel was full of advice to add extra details to your work. Well worth the cost, in a beautiful settling with a tutor who was very well prepared and is a lovely person. I will certainly be doing some courses in the future. Thank you Rachel was a fantastic introduction to a type of embroidery that I have never done before."

"I was intrigued by the union of painting and embroidery so I booked onto this workshop. Rachel's own practice evidences her expertise and amazing skills and, importantly for a workshop, Rachel is able to teach gently to novices and keenly to experienced participants. On arrival, my workstation was set out with all that I would need. I was welcomed with coffee and smiles and refreshments were available throughout the workshop, (cake to die for!). There were abundant resources and appropriate equipment. Rachel demonstrated techniques clearly, paced her teaching well and supporting everyone's individual, creative responses. I thoroughly enjoyed this workshop; learning new skills and chatting to participants with similar interests. The day flew by! I now have a lovely painted and stitched patch to frame or applique to a garment or bag. I have signed up for two more of Rachel's courses. Rachel has a superb creative gift that she can share with patience, clarity, genuine encouragement and joy. Thank you so much Rachel and all the participants who were so friendly. "

"I did the flower patch workshop, last Saturday “, with Rachel . An absolutely perfect day ! Rachel is so enthusiastic and knowledgeable and passed this on to us in a very relaxed way. We all came away with a lovely piece of work , all different; but all wonderful. We made beautiful flower patches that can be used to embellish a piece of clothing or bag. There was plenty of coffee and cake; all set in a beautiful surrounding; at Bunbury Mill . PERFECT ; thank you xx .. on top of this workshop I have just been to a talk/presentation, delivered by Rachel, called “ How Textiles tell stories “ . Interesting and enthralling. "Had a wonderful relaxing day crafting with like minded people. Rachel splits the course into easy to understand stages and guides you through each technic . She is extremely encouraging and helpful. No question is a wrong question . With her tutoring everyone was able to produce a piece of work to be proud of . I had not embroidered for a while and found it easy going , even mastering my first ever French knots . An amazing teacher and would highly recommend her course to friends and family. "A wonderful day spent creating an embroidery of a floral print. There was a range of choices in different colours, so we could use the colours that relate to our taste. Rachel’s friendly approach is suitable for beginners and those with previous experience. It is a relaxing day to unwind, enjoy the surroundings and sweet treats… and produce a lovely piece of work to take home.
