'Ore and Ingot' is a Bristol based travelling foundry, started in 2012. Uniquely at the heart of our studio practice is the beautiful alchemy of melting metal. We teach and share metal casting skills, in the format of running short courses, taking commissions and traveling with our portable foundry. Our aim is to create a hub that will draw in local artists and to share skills that are frequently overlooked by art institutions.
"I really loved every single minute of it!
The small group of people allowed us to be closely followed by David Snoo Wilson in the creation of our own metal sculpture!
With his skill, he took us trough the amazing process of bronze casting, introducing us to the fascinating art of metallurgy.
The rural setting and the good company made this exeperience truly unique.
I Highly recommend the course!!"

"Thanks, Martha, was lovely having you both on the course. "
"Superb course, Dave was a fantastic teacher, so much so that we only realised quite how complex the process was at the end after we'd finished, he explained everything very clearly and gave excellent instructions. I would highly recommend this course. Lunch was great too!"
"Great course, exciting and fun. Learned so much and came away with a couple of small bronze pieces. Dave was patient, knowledgeable, confident, imaginative and experienced; exactly the right combination for a supportive tutor :-) He's such a nice guy that he even cooked lunch for us! I'd recommend this course; it's a great experience. "
Ore and Ingot responded:
"Thanks, Jim for the lovely feedback. "
