"Fantastic one day course that got me up and running with MIG welding having never done it before. Tony is an exceptional trainer, combining the technical and practical aspects of welding, from how the machine works and should be set up to the techniques for different joints and the hand eye coordination required to perfect the weld. We practiced seam welds for a variety of joint types, diagnosing how to improve after each one. Being 1 to 1, you get all of Tony’s attention and feedback on each piece throughout the day. I had considered evening classes but this was a much better option for me, being intensive and personal tuition. Progression was rapid and I now know how to improve through my own practice and self assessment of each weld. I’ve attached a photo of one of my better examples from the day. Thoroughly recommend. I had bought a MIG welder a couple of years ago and despite watching several YouTube videos was never able to get the hang of it. Tony is an excellent teacher and all the learning was 1-2-1. The day was extremely interactive, Tony would demonstrate different types of welds then let me have several attempts, each time giving me pointers on how to improve. The difference between my first weld and my last at the end of the day was amazing. No stress, and a very enjoyable day. Thoroughly recommended."

After a clear explanation of the safety and welding equipment we quickly progressed with trying to tackle our first welds. Tony explained what the day involved, the equipment that we’d be using, as well as the safety requirements. Before long, I was shown how to carry out a range of different welds and had plenty of opportunity to practise. Tony’s knowledge and depth of experience was key and he presented the tuition in a structured manner, without formality. "Attended the ‘Mig Welding for Beginners Introductory Day Course’ today, what a pleasure. Despite numerous hours watching online You Tube videos; it is not until the theory is put in to practice that the MIG process very quickly becomes less daunting. Tony with years of experience in both welding and teaching very quickly gets the novice up and running. I would estimate that over the day 2% is demonstration by Tony and the other 98% is ‘hands-on’ by the student. At the end of the day, which passes very quickly, I felt ready to invest in my own MIG and confident that I would be able to weld to an acceptable standard, albeit not as neat as Tony’s. Thank you for your time and advice, a worthwhile course. "

"A great days training with Tony. Very relaxed. Great instruction and company throughout the session! Patience of a saint from my "Mig Blobbing" to far better welds at the end of the day. Different metal thickness welding and setups. Horizontal Flat overlap. Internal and external edge welds at 90 both horizontal and vertical welds. Plus many other tips and instruction.
