"This is an excellent course taught by a super lady with a huge amount of patience and expertise. Every stage was explained perfectly and help was given all the way through and particularly when needed. I have been on other wool craft courses but this one was the best and I came away with a beautiful scarf. I can certainly recommend not only the course, but the teacher as well, and it was well worth the long journey to be there. "My daughter and I have just completed a nano wool workshop with Lena. We are novices and we're a little anxious about our ability to produce a scarf that would be wearable. Within a short time we were reassured by Lena that we would and we did. We both have scarves that far exceed our expectations. They are fabulous and our family and friends can't believe we made them. It was hard work, however I am 71 and have a back problem and found it within my physical capabilities. Lena is a good teacher and makes each stage sound easy. Help was always available. In all we had a fab day. Thank you Lena. We are planning to make more scarves as gifts."

"Lena explained and demonstrated each stage of the the process, whilst also proving many hints and tips to us students on felting and the use of silk. Whilst it was quite hard work, physically, the day absolutely flew by. It was lovely to come away with new skills and a gorgeous new scarf. I can't wait to try again at home! Thanks, Lena!"

"I'd been wanting to learn how to eco print for a very long time but hadn't been able to find any courses locally. Luckily I found Lena's Botanical/Eco Printing Course (which ran in June) a couple of days before it was due to start and it was the best thing I ever did. Lena is a great teacher and very knowledgeable and I learnt so much. The other ladies on the course were all very friendly and helpful and we all produced many beautiful eco printed fabrics and other items such as scarves, bags and T-shirts. I've found it very addictive and continue to experiment with eco printing at home at every opportunity. I would thoroughly recommend the course."

"I have now done two courses with Lena. One on nuno felt, and eco/ botanical printing. Lena is a very thorough teacher, and you will learn correct techniques that work (although part of the fun of eco printing is experimentation!) The courses are "full on" but fun. Bring a notebook to record techniques and results for the future. A camera or mobile phone can be useful for before and after photos too. Lena's very good for answering any follow up questions you may have afterwards. Enjoy!"

"I attended this class today and I have to say Lena is brilliant. She gives 1:1 tuition to each group member. The class is very informal and fun. Lena provides a lovely apple cake and unlimited tea or coffee. I would highly recommend attending one of Lena's courses, you will definitely learn lots of new techniques."

"I cannot recommend this enough! Lena is an excellent tutor, knowledgeable and informative. Her studio is spacious and well equipped and I am completely delighted with my finished picture, which really is finished as Lena dried it and gave us the time and equipment to add final needle felted details. The day was so enjoyable, the other women on the course were all so friendly and Lena's home made cake was delicious and I am going to try her recipe. I will definitely look out for other courses from Lena, thank you."

"I had the best day I was nervous initially but soon that left me after we introduced ourselves at the beginning. I came away with a scarf to be proud off and say I made it. It was hard work on your muscle but the aches after are worth it. Made new friends and now understand the love people get for this craft and cannot wait to do another project. Lena is a great teacher even with students that don't lisen fully and do the odd mistakes and course trouble like me."

"I have never felted before , but Lena made it look really easy. She explained everything really well and helped us as we worked . She was really welcoming and friendly, just what you need when you attend a course on your own. Small groups so Lena is able to help when needed. I loved it, and came away with a beautiful nuns felted scarf. I am amazed at how professional it looks. I really enjoyed it and would definitely attend another course, well worth the cost."

"I would strongly recommend Lena as a teacher. She is clear in her explanations and demonstrations of the skills she is trying to impart and patient in helping students to master them. I was so impressed by the workshop making a beautiful nuno felted scarf on margalan silk last month that I came back for this workshop making a notebook cover and bookmark. Lena is very knowledgeable about her craft and ready to discuss and advise on all sorts of felting questions beyond the current workshop. She is generous in providing a large variety of different textiles to use, which allows you to try out things you cannot do when felting at home. The two workshops I have done with Lena have been very worthwhile in terms of learning skills, having fun and taking home something which gives pleasure."
