"I've just enjoyed a brilliant day on Kate's mosaic day course. I've never accomplished anything in any craft work before and brought home three pieces that were rather rough and ready but for a first attempt I was very pleased. Kate explained everything clearly and was very supportive but at the same time she stood back to allow our own creativity to come through. I really enjoyed working in a small group of four - great company. "

"I spent the day on Kate’s one day mosaic workshop and thoroughly enjoyed it. I have some experience but learned so much with lots of input from Kate when we needed it. She went through various techniques and provided electronic notes for us to refer to for future reference . She gave us the scope to be individually creative and was on hand with her wealth of experience if we got stuck. She had a good selection of mosaic materials. I would attend another one without question. Would highly recommend ?"

"I really enjoyed my day making mosaic. I learnt everything to do with the whole process and as I did a larger piece I needed to finish it at home. We had lots of support and encouragement. We were actively encouraged to mix adhesive so we knew the correct consistency and allowed to take some powders and glass home to complete the piece. Emailed instructions and supplier information sent afterwards so no excuse not to complete my project. Thank you Kate."

"I have just spent a lovely day with Kate at one of her Mosaic workshops. I have always admired her beautiful work so it was a great chance to learn a few of her tricks. There were 7 of us in her workshop and the creativity was flowing and we were buzzing! There were lots of tiles, glass, tesserae etc for us to choose from in a rainbow of colours plus all the cutting equipment so we only had to bring an apron and an idea. I would recommend one of her courses for both beginners and for those like myself with some experience. But be careful, once you’ve tried on you will be addicted like me! Have fun. Wendy"

"Small group, only 2 of us so teacher pupil ratio excellent! I had no previous experience and Kate was very helpful and supportive. We worked at our own pace throughout the day and Kate was on hand to encourage and advise us. I was very pleased with the 2 pieces I completed. I have no hesitation in recommending Kate's mosaic course. A relaxed and enjoyable experience."

"Thoroughly enjoyed my day learning about mosaics and making my first piece which was a circular mirror. All supplies were included so all I needed to bring was an apron and lunch! All supplies and techniques were well explained by Kate throughout the day. This course has certainly inspired me to make more mosaics. Accompanying notes were also very helpful."

"The sculpture mosaic course was relaxed and enjoyable, as are all Kate's courses. It was explained clearly how to use the materials we hadn’t used before and then over the two days Kate was very attentive to us all but gave us plenty of time to work at our own pace, which I think is the best kind of learning. The group were pleasant and I enjoyed seeing everyone's pieces develop with our different styles."

"I did this course with my sister and I have to say we had a wonderful time. Kate was great, she was there when you needed her but happy to let you get on with it at the same time. Learnt lots more beyond the basics of mosaicing as the butterfly we made was for the outside. All explained coherently and lots of different materials to choose from. Would highly recommend for a relaxing day out. In a lovely setting too, I will be back."

"I have done several courses with Kate, and they have all been excellent. I started as a complete beginner, and she explained things in a simple and straightforward manner, sending me home with a mosaic picture to hang on my wall. Since then I have done several more courses, learning different techniques, and each time I left with something to be proud of. The classes are generally small in number, which means she is able to give one-to-one attention as required, but will leave us to our own devices if that is what we prefer. A lovely lady who knows her craft, and she is generous with tea, coffee and biscuits! Definitely recommended."

"Kate's courses are an excellent way to get you started with mosaicing. In a relaxed environment she gives an introduction to techniques before letting you get really hands on with the materials. Tips and advice was given throughout and Kate's always willing to answer questions. She also provides summary notes to reference at home. Ive really enjoyed the 2 courses I've attended and these have both given me the confidence to continue mosaicing at home."
