"What a great kit. I bought two of these for me and my husband to try. The instructions are very clear and easy to follow and the beautifully packaged box contains everything you need to make these lovely plaques. The materials are very good quality which makes the whole working process a joy. I would recommend this kit."

"I had never tried mosaic before and was keen to give it a go. This kit was the perfect introduction and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Everything you need is in the kit (which is beautifully packaged) including clear instructions and links to Julie’s excellent YouTube teaching videos. I was so pleased with the results - my coasters are awesome and now I’m hooked! Highly recommended"

"Came beautifully packaged with everything I needed to begin straight away. Spent a very happy few hours playing around with the tiles, gluing them down and grouting on the following day. Very happy with my finished item! May buy the other one to do next……"

"Just loved doing this project. Struggled at the start with the grouting but patience and time got me there. The end product is really lovely. Will probably buy another one!"

"Thanks for your review, I’m pleased you’re happy with the end result. Yes grouting is not for everyone, especially the first time. It is possible to leave artwork un-grouted if you are happy with how the piece looks after sticking the tiles so bear that in mind for future projects. (It would be essential however for a functional item or hanging in a bathroom area)"

"As a 50th birthday treat for Nicky we attended what was Julie’s first ‘two to one’ socially distanced mosaic workshop since lockdown. Julie went to great lengths to ensure our safety without it impacting upon our enjoyment of the day, including a lovely lunch outside in the garden. Neither of us had tried mosaic before but with Julie’s excellent coaching style and wide range of beautiful materials, were able to harness our creativity and produce indoor plaques that we were delighted with. We were fully engrossed and the time flew by. A grouting demonstration and detailed take home support, including a YouTube video, extended our enjoyment beyond the workshop. We were thrilled with the finished product and have the day we spent making our first mosaic together etched in our minds as a lovely memory. We both plan to continue to explore this compelling craft and would highly recommend the course. Thank you Julie."

The lunch was delicious and seeing examples of her work in the beautiful workshop was wonderful. "My daughter and I worked collaboratively on a mosaic, Julie took this into account and gave us a larger base to work on to. The action of making the mosaic was totally absorbing and helped us to be relaxed and to clear our minds of day to day stress. The process of making something, with our hands was so satisfying, it was really the most enjoyable part of the day. We were very much in the moment and it was both creative and therapeutic. Julie is an excellent teacher, we had never made a mosaic before but she gave us clear guidance and then encouraged and supported us in the right amounts. Her studio is bright, warm and full of the tiles and equipment needed to inspire. We met some lovely, like minded people and would really recommend this experience."

"I have been on a one day workshop with Julie before and loved it so much I wanted to come back. I had a project planned and although I had a hard time starting off my idea, Julie helped to clarify my plan so that I could achieve my wall plaque. The class is friendly and you can work at your own pace. Julie provides advice and guidance suitable for all levels and I really enjoyed making my end piece. I would highly recommend any course with Julie Vernon."
