Ed reviewed: Stool Making in the Woods - Beginner Green Woodworking course

"Fantastic weekend learning how to make a stool with Celi who was very knowledgeable about green woodworking and very attentive, making sure everyone went home with a product they could be proud of. A delicious lunch was provided each day and a great spot for camping overnight. Would love to come back for another course "

Mark Rawson reviewed: Stool Making in the Woods - Beginner Green Woodworking course

"I really enjoyed this 2 day course and am surprised and delighted with the end result, a lot of hard work and I left with something I'm proud of. Celi was very attentive and made everyone feel welcome and excellently kept the balance of enabling everyone to take their time to improve their skills and provide help when needed to keep things moving along. Additionally, we had access to hot drinks throughout the day despite being in the woods and a couple of great lunches catered by Reyna. I'm looking forward to coming back next year for the Pole Lathe course."

Kip Johnson reviewed: Coffee Table/Bench Making in the Woods - Beginner Green Woodworking course

"Currently sat admiring my coffee table/bench. It was made in the beautiful space of Golden Hill Wood. A woodland in Wales made all the more welcoming through the teacher of the course Celi. Celi had a very special way of sharing knowledge and her skills in Green Woodworking, putting every one at ease and creating a group who mutually supported one another in there own project. I would do another course with Celi at the drop of a hat. Get yourself to Golden Hill and be immersed in the beautiful woodland and the wonders of Greenwood work."

Grown and Made Woodcraft responded:

"Hi Kip, Thanks so much for your review, it was really great to meet you and share the joy of green woodwork."

Katherine Dennis reviewed: Spoon Carving in the Woods - Beginner Green Woodworking course

"Thoroughly enjoyed this 1 day course and would recommend it to anyone who is a beginner like myself. The day flew by, I became fully submerged in this craft, and amazed what can be done with an axe. Celi was a fantastic teacher, she had incredible patience and a lovely welcoming smile whenever I had a question or got a bit stuck. Her knowledge on spoon carving and what wood is the best to use is very impressive. The workshop is nestled in the woodland and you really do feel close to nature. Also the real coffee, biscuits and delicious lunch that was laid on, topped an already lovely day off. "

Steve Gifford reviewed: Coffee Table/Bench Making in the Woods - Beginner Green Woodworking course

"Being a complete novice to woodworking to making a bench from raw materials without electric tools was a little concerning, but our welcoming host Celi with her excellent tuition skill set was superb throughout explaining everything step-by-step to individuals or as a group. At the end of the course she ensured that all group members had a finished item to take home. The workshop setting was perfect. The home cooked food was delicious and all the other members of the group were lovely and always helpful. As you are only using hand tools, it can be quite physically demanding. So in all, a fantastic weekend and a great experience which made me appreciate the work put into handmade woodcraft."

"Brilliant course! A very quiet and relaxing atmosphere in the woods under a canopy. It rained a lot one of the days and we didn’t really even notice so don’t worry about the weather! Celi really knows her stuff and is a great teacher. Very calm and patient and takes her time with everyone individually as well as demonstrating to everyone. Really nice home cooked food too, with plenty of tea/coffee breaks. "
