"Absolutely fantastic day learning how to make silver charms from silver clay with Rachel and then forming a beautiful bangle on which to display charms with Mel. Rachel and Mel were so warm and friendly guiding me patiently through the processes. It was a very welcome 6 hours of switching off from the real world with copious tea, coffee and treats. Thank you so much Rachel and Mel. I will be recommending your course to all and sundry and I will definitely return next year now my appetite has been wetted for jewellery making. Xxx"

"I attended the one day laser course having no previous knowledge and very limited computer skills. Rachel was fantastically easy going making me feel so welcome. Within no time I hade made a basic coaster, shortly after I had completed making my first wall clock. We then moved onto a number of little projects which interested me. Using the computer was explained very well, and I was very soon moving around the program tentatively by myself. I only wish I had a better memory as there was a lot of information to get my head around. I really enjoyed the day, Rachel you are a star, thank you so much. 5/5 XXXXX"

"I had an amazing 5 days with Rachel...didn't want to come home! My intention was to explore some new crafts that I could do from home that wouldn't require large, noisy or expensive equipment, and to see if I was any good at any of them. After discussing the possibilities with Rachel, I went onto learn a load of new skills; concrete and pewter casting and letterpress printing, relearnt how to sew and had my first proper lesson on how to draw. I'd always said that I wasn't an artist, but with Rachel's genuine encouragement and patient guidance, I came away feeling confident to take more steps and develop my skills and also thinking that perhaps there was an artist inside me after all!"

Maidy reviewed: Sketchbooking for artists, journals, keep sake books, coursework - 2 Day - One to One

"I went on this course with my sister, who was visiting from Australia, for 2 days. Rachel welcomed us into the studio on the first day, with a cup of tea and a description of what we might like to do. There were samples of sketchbooks on the table, and the studio was incredibly well stocked. We chose to make our own individual sketchbooks on the first day, and then on the second day we asked for some pointers in sketching bodies and people. It was all very individualised, as only the 2 of us were there. Rachel was incredibly generous, both with materials and her time and knowledge. She kept us stocked up on tea and coffee throughout the day. Although the course was due to end at 3.30, she gave us the key to the studio to allow us to stay there when she left, and go back if we wanted after our dinner. We were both extremely proud of the sketchbooks we made as well as the sketchbooks she gave us to practise with. It was a really enjoyable, and intensive two days. If I get the chance I will definitely be going back. "
