"Geoff was a top bloke with buckets of patience as well as clay. Both my partner and I had never thrown pots prior to our session and with his help and guidance were able to produce 2 pretty good looking bowls. Geoff’s easy going nature made the whole experience worthwhile and more importantly great fun . "

"A wonderful introduction to pottery. Geoff was a patient teacher who gave clear instructions which enabled us to achieve a decent result for a first attempt! Definitely an addictive pastime . Recommend as a great present for anyone who wants to have a go! Or ongoing tuition to further skills. Just wear warm clothes as the studio is chilly "

"WOW, what an awesome afternoon, spent in a fabulous workshop, under the supervision of very talented Geoff, learning the art of throwing pottery. He made the potters wheel experience a wonderful one, and we (family of 4) all produced worthy pieces at the end. Would highly recommend. We’ll be back, can’t think of a a better way to lose oneself, fully immersed in such a creative pastime, under the guidance of a very talented and creative teacher. Thoroughly enjoyed, thank you very much. "

"My Girlfriend and I booked a beginner’s session with Geoff today. We enjoyed every minute of it. Geoff’s education history really shone through. A great teacher, patient, knowledgeable and skilled at his craft. We enjoyed talking to him and learning from him. If you are ever in the Buxton area, this is a must for your “to see/do” list. It is well worth your time and money."

It was worth arriving a little early to look round the ground floor gallery & have a welcome coffee before going up to earth pig pottery. Geoff supplied aprons & explained everything we would be doing to make our first pot! His demonstration was very good, showing his passion & experience which gave us both the confidence to thoroughly enjoy our time at the wheel- very impressed & pleasantly surprised how enjoyable it was. We will definitely come back for more, thank you so much."

"My husband and I booked a session with Geoff for a Friday afternoon and we both had an absolutely wonderful time. Geoff was really informative, giving us a tutorial first followed by us making our own bowls, and was on hand to help when we needed it, and was very motivational when I didn't think I was doing well. Neither of us have thrown pottery before (only done minimal but no spinning) and managed to create some wonderful small bowls which we can't wait to pick up once they've dried. The studio was brilliant and located easily to find. We would both highly recommend Earth Pig Pottery for any classes, and would love to come again. :)"

We both ended up with a bowl and a vase - of sorts - even tho our second attempts were beyond redemption so had to be aborted. Will def be going back to glaze the pots we made. and maybe even have another go - well worth it - brilliant afternoon :-) Thanx Geoff."

He was faultless throughout the class from start to finish, with excellent tuition on how to throw the clay onto the wheel and how to proceed to make a clay pot. 10 out of 10. Very enjoyable."
