"Really great weekend - informative, fun and good exercise too. Everything felt manageable and the instructors were supportive and made sure we all had a good time. Highly recommend this course."

Jackie Benson reviewed: Two day dry stone walling course for beginners in association with Dry Stone Walling Association of Great Britain

"I went of the course held at Werneth Low last weekend 13/14 July. I had a fantastic weekend and was given expert guidance from the Lancashire Group (Paul, Bev & Lee) who made the whole experience fun and passed on their considerable knowledge. We were given expert tuition on how to sort, lay down, select & place the stones. Our small group took down a section of walling and rebuilt it over the two days and what a sense of achievement we all felt when stood back and admired our completed work. The course also covered health & safety(how to lift & to keep ourselves and others safe) and the different type of tools you can use. Paul, Bev & Lee, thank you so much for making the weekend so enjoyable & Jane & Craig for making me feel part of an impressive team. I will be joining DSWA, what a supportive group of people."

"A great introduction to an old craft. Excellent tutors, a good bunch of fellow students and a fine looking wall at the end of it. In my unbiased opinion. All conducted in a fantastic landscape which is enhanced by the walling throughout."
