This course did just that and more! It was so professionally done and Jason was great at teaching his passion, making everything look so easy. Whether you are looking to just have some fun with a new craft or you want to change career you will learn everything you need from the very knowledgeable Jason. He is an excellent teacher and the spacious workshop is filled with all the tools and accessories you could ever need. In terms of COVID 19, there is plenty of space, your own hand sanitiser and tools, lunch and drinks are still provided in a hygienic way. I was a complete novice and came home with a fantastic bag that has been much admired."

"I'd fantasised about learning how to make my own leather goods by hand using traditional methods for some time! I'd been watching YouTube videos and looking at purchasing starter kits online, but I really had no idea where to start or if I'd even enjoy it as much as I thought I would... So when I saw Jason's course advertised I thought win-win! Have a go, learn some basics, get advice, see if I like it, and worse case scenario I've got a fab new bag! In a nutshell I loved it all and I learned so much. Even when I was getting frustrated with myself Jason managed to turn it around and I learnt even more through my mistakes as he showed me ways to prevent them in the future. The setting of his studio was also great and created a really lovely atmosphere. "I attended this course with my friend in March, we did the 2 day course and it was fantastic, I’ve attended quite a few courses over the last 12 months and this was my far the best. I have made bags before but never used leather so was keen to have a go. Jason was so knowledgeable, patient and made sure we both finished our bags in the 2 days (we both picked the most difficult but are dressmakers and used to working with fabric). I would recommend this course to anyone with an interest in leather work and a desire to expand your skill level. I would definitely attend another one of Jason's workshops."

I had never done any leather bag making before and I found the course brilliant and I got to take away with me a beautiful leather bag which I will treasure. The atmosphere in the workshop was very relaxed and the music was fab. Lunch provided was superb too. Jason and Louise were so patient and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. "I had a fantastic three days being taught by Jason in his incredible workshop. He is a great teacher: knowledgeable, patient and encouraging - and a pleasure to spend time with. Going from having no idea to walking out with a backpack made with my own hands felt like it could be a challenge, but Jason guides you patiently through the process, builds your confidence and then allows you to work alone, but there whenever you need him. He's generous with his knowledge (and tea and biscuits) and enthusiastic about his trade. The end result was a beautiful piece of leathercraft of which I am very proud, and it's thanks to Jason that I am now raring to go solo on projects of my own. This review wouldn't be complete without mentioning Jason's workshop. It's in an old cotton mill, and is an inspiring place in which to work, surrounded by great tools, made pieces, vintage gear and curios, in a warm, well-equipped space. You feel like a craftsperson the moment you put on your apron. He plays great music too. Just need to work out how I can get back there to continue the journey. Thanks Jason."

"I have attended a few leatherwork courses over the past few years so am not a novice, but this course was by far the most intuitive and more importantly the most fun!! My intention is to start producing and selling leather goods through my clothing store and Jason was very supportive and eager to hear all of my plans. I did not expect that as my previous experience is that Leatherwork instructors are very reserved and guarded of any possible competition.
