My name is Jess, a textile artist based in Somerset. I create fabric collage kits using a mix of vintage, scrap, and new fabrics, inspired by the British countryside and my connection to nature.
I started my business, Dandelion & Peacock, after having my children, and it has grown alongside our family life. I’m passionate about sustainable crafting, repurposing materials that would otherwise end up in landfill.
I believe slow stitching is a mindful way to reconnect with yourself and break away from the fast-paced digital world, offering a calming, therapeutic experience. My love for textiles is reflected in the careful curation of fabrics for my kits.
I also design appliqué homeware items like cushions and bags, all featuring countryside-inspired designs.
I’ll soon be featured on BBC One’s ‘Make It at Market’ — follow me on Instagram for updates!
