"I loved every minute of the course. Clare was brilliant - she provided all materials and explained and demonstrated the process before we 'had a go'. I was an absolute beginner to Gelli Plate printing and even though the process seemed simple, having Clare there, with her experience and patience meant that the pitfalls were mostly avoided. "An absolutely lovely morning in beautiful and peaceful surroundings of Clare's studio. The session was really well structured and we learned a lot without it feeling rushed. Clare is an excellent teacher and had obviously planned the morning carefully. There was just a small group so we all got plenty of help and suggestions from Clare - all 3 of us left with some lovely prints we were pleased with. I felt really refreshed and eager to try again at home - and that was after an 8.5 hour bus ride to get there due to a train strike. I couldn't recommend this course more highly and you will leave with something beautiful whatever level you start at."

She has got the perfect balance between allowing us to experiment ( and sometimes make 'mistakes' which is the best way to learn! "This was such a fun, hands-on gelli printing experience. Clare is super knowledgeable and I certainly learnt a lot of techniques. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the fact that the tutor wasn’t too prescriptive giving us free reign to make our own choices. "I took part in a 2 hour introduction to Gelli printing workshop with Clare at Concept Corner, New Brighton. I agree with previous comments that everything was very well organised, there was plenty of equipment, paint and all the creative elements/tools etc and all we needed was ourselves and nothing more. Clare is a very good tutor, nice and clear, taking us step-by step. We were also treated to tea and biscuits which was a nice surprise. Two hours was just about right if, like me, you haven't tried this technique before, but I can imagine that on a whole-day course, you can really get some fantastic results at the end of it."

"A great course and lovely way to spend a Saturday morning with like minded people. This is the second course I’ve done with Clare. On both occasions I’ve learnt a lot and have been surprised how quickly you can pick up a new skill, create something you are pleased with. Clare is a great teacher and explains everything thoroughly before you start working on your project. It doesn’t matter what experience you have, Clare is on hand to give advice, suggestions and tips to everyone in the class. Clare has extensive knowledge working with mix-media and is always looking for new ideas and methods to add that extra “edge” to her work and to pass on to people on her courses. "

"Spent an enjoyable 2 hours learning about Gelli plate printing with acrylics. Created lots of prints and one in particular I think I actually might put in a frame! Clare showed us how we could use wild flowers to create effective prints and that backgrounds can be achieved using everyday objects so it doesn’t need to cost the earth either. Highly recommend this class to explore your creative side!!"

"I’m definitely not gifted when it comes to any craft skill but Clare is a patient and measured tutor and helps you through every step even when you’re lacking in confidence like me. Maybe my choice of patterned material wasn’t the best for my first attempt and I will be using plain material for my next one. However I am so pleased with the lampshade I made and I would recommend Clare’s workshop. You will leave with a fantastic lampshade and confidence to make more on your own."
