"Chris is an absolutely brilliant teacher. The whole day was fun and engaging. I am a complete novice but really felt I could get to grips with what I was being taught. His studio is fantastic with lots of great pottery for sale. Both him and his wife are very welcoming into their home and all in all I had a lovely day. "Picked up my finished items today, thank you Chris for an excellent experience. The course was booked by my wife as part of my birthday gift having been an avid watcher of the great pottery throw down, I was a little nervous to say the least as watching and doing are polls apart but Chris settled me on arrival. Once Chris had gone through the usual health and safety as required, he started with a run through work piece as an example then my turn. I am reasonably practical and with Chris’s guidance and encouragement I worked through 4 various pot forms, including the final glazing. They look fantastic and my wife now has them on show. Thanks for the experience, an extremely skilled and knowledgeable tutor."

"I bought this course as a gift for my mum, who had never thrown on the wheel before. Chris guided us through each step prior to giving it a go ourselves. I really enjoyed seeing my mum having a great time, Chris was also really helpful with anything we were unsure about. We were super excited to get our finished products back, which we did today and they are fab. It's lovely to have something tangible to take away from a fun experience together. The studio was a little chilly but the cup of tea warmed our hands up before getting to work!"

"A fantastic course! I bought this as a Christmas present for my wife in 2020 and took us until August to finally go due to the Pandemic. My wife has wanted to try making some pottery for sometime after watching the Great Pottery Throw down so this seemed like the perfect gift (and we weren't disappointed) Chris sent plenty of information about how to prepare for the course and also information on the extra COVID precautions taken place. When we arrived we were offered a warm drink and shown through to the workshop. Chris then walked us through all the safety information and gave a quick but detailed demo on how to make a few different shapes. It sounded quite difficult at first, though Chris made it sound easy, and when it came to our turn to have a go he walked us through each step again before letting us get on with it. We ended up with a few pots and bowls which we then decorated using a variety of techniques before leaving them to dry with collection / delivery to be arranged in a few weeks time. The time flew by and we both found the experience very fun and relaxing. I would recommend this to anyone and would seriously consider doing another one of the courses on offer. Thank you Chris for a lovely morning, and we're very excited to see how our pots turn out."

"Oh my goodness - this was so much fun! Chris is such a lovely chap and such a good teacher. I suspected that this would be a laugh but possibly a bit disastrous. But with Chris’ guidance, we each ended up with a few very respectable dishes - though we will have to wait a couple of weeks now to see if they make it through the firing! I had some ideas in mind that I had emailed to Chris in advance and he had taken the time to think about how to achieve what I was after and come up with some great ideas. I wholeheartedly recommend taking the workshop if you are in the area."

"A really enjoyable 1 1/2 hours. Chris was excellent at showing and telling us what to do to make tapas dishes. A friendly chap, with a well stocked studio, he made it look so easy. At the end of the lesson we’d both made 3 or 4 dishes each.....and had glazed them too. I recommend that anyone should have a go...it’s great fun, and quite therapeutic once you get the hang of it.
