Maker's bio

As a teacher, my working life has largely centred around children but I also have considerable experience of working with adults in a teaching capacity. My work comprises two main areas, those of stitch and of print (hand carved and burnished lino prints specifically), with the two areas frequently overlapping and combining. My sewing is not complex in terms of stitch or technique; I love the simplicity of drawing with the thread, using simple black outlines with colour to create and fill spaces.
