"This course gets a resounding 10 out of 5 stars. I had the MOST fun and this is truly something I will carry on doing at home (it wasn't just a once off, I loved it THAT much) Janet and Pauline were the warmest, kindest tutors. They are well experienced, and had the most gorgeous examples of work to show us. They were gentle in explaining what to do, giving clear instructions and heaps of support. If fact, I felt like a real silversmith artist under their guidance! We were all nervous to start "we're not creative" we thought. But we were wrong. They were so willing to share their knowledge, advice on suppliers to get bits and pieces needed, they showed us clever ways of doing things (that only comes with yers of experience) I left the course feeling like I'd made new friends, and for that reason I'm pretty confident I'll be back learning another skill from these two :) Thank you so much!"

"Nichola is a wonderful teacher, she is truly truly passionate about what she does, and that interest runs deep as she has searched out all the how's and why's and shares her knowledge freely. She wants us to love the soap making process as much as she does (and we did!) Thank you for taking the time to really explain each step, not just telling us what to do, but why, and why not. It truly is a beautiful craft and you are VERY good at it! "

"I booked the course for my sister as a birthday present and thought it would be more fun for her if I went along too as soap making was something we have both always wanted to try. We had a fantastic afternoon and both came away with a lovely big cake of beautiful soap that smelt as good as it looked! Nichola and Ben couldn't have been more welcoming and the whole session was really well thought out, informative and interesting. Nichola was very patient and explained each part of the process really clearly, helping each person to choose colours, scents and additional ingredients to make their soap unique and special. We even had a choice of recipes so we could choose which type of soap would suit our skin best. The coffee and biscuits were delicious too. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who is interested in making hand made soap. My sister and I learnt such a lot and it was so much fun!"

"As soon as I walked into the workshop at Boo Cottage I knew the day going to be good- we had an informative and interesting introduction from Nicola over hot drinks and a chat, then started creating our fragrant products which we took home at the end of the day. Nicola made the tuition and instruction easy to follow and fun. I took away bath truffles, body scrub, lip balms and soap and am so proud of having made all these products myself! The combination of scents from the oils and butters will stay with me for ages, SO therapeutic, a lovely days course. Thank you ?"

"Absolutely loved the day! Huge thanks to Nic and my lovely soap making companions for an amazing day. I become soap making obsessed while lockdown, got instructions online/ through books but my products weren't quite right....after doing a lot of research online re best soap making courses went for Boo Cottage one. Nic knows her stuff well and I learnt so much, I'm so very grateful for the day and the company. Therapeutic and buzzing day. And oh my the soaps, bath truffles, bath balms and body scrub we all made...absolutely gorgeus! So...Nic when is the next one?"

"This was an amazing course and Nic is a great teacher! I came away with many lovely things that I'm very happy with (bath truffles, body scrub, lip balm and of course soap). Although we made a lot of things the day was very relaxed with time for us to smell and choose essential oils for our products! I will definitely be booking another course!"

Nicola was so great at making us feel welcome, explaining the history and basic science behind soap making and then guiding us through colour and fragrance choices (so much choice!). "What a fantastic day! I have been waiting so long to attend the skin care and soap making work shop, having been given a gift voucher from my children back in 2020. Due to the pandemic I have only recently felt able attend, but Nic has been incredibly patient and obliging allowing me to wait until now. And it was so worth the wait! I was immediately made to feel welcome by Nic and Ben. Very comfortable surroundings and plenty of tea and biscuits! It was soon very evident that Nic and Ben were very knowledgeable and passionate about their business and very generous in sharing this with us. A perfect balance of interesting theory and plenty of hands on opportunities, resulting a whole shoe box full of personally made goodies to bring home- balm bars, bath truffles whipped body butter and soap. I felt by the end of the day that I had been visiting friends. Thank you Nic and Ben."

"A fantastic workshop and great value. We had a choice of what products we wanted to make in the morning. The soap making in the afternoon was fascinating and I enjoyed the process as well as the end product, we were able to take home all that we had made with instructions of what to do with our soap. I cannot recommend it more highly. Nic and Ben are a great team and the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. I will be recommending this to my family and friends. It is also in a beautiful part of the country."
