"An enjoyable, relaxing day spent with Derek making a beautiful fountain pen. There is a wide selection of pen types and woods to choose from and he guides you through the different options to help you end up with what you would like. Derek is extremely knowledgeable and gives you confidence in using the cutting equipment, lathe etc and it gave me an appreciation of how much work goes into the process of making a pen! Can thoroughly recommend this experience."

"Great afternoon spent with Derek learning how to make a pen - and so much more ! Taken through each step in the process methodically and with demonstrations throughout. Derek was very friendly and explained things well and was happy to offer advice on other wood working aspects. Highly recommended for those wanting to have a go - and end up with a very nice pen in the process 😀 "

"What a fantastic day!! My friend and I did the full day pen turning course which involved us making two pens each. Derek is such a good teacher. He gently guides you through the process, explaining all the safety aspects, the correct way to use the machinery and how some materials act differently to others. There is a huge selection of pen styles and materials to choose from with some beautiful woods to turn. At the end of the day you walk away with a truly unique souvenir of an excellent day. I can't recommend this fabulous day enough!!"
