"A great experience, Anna is very generous in sharing her knowledge of wood turning, patiently explaining the process, which tools to use when & how to set up the lathe. She quickly built my confidence on the lathe and let me work the wood, offering advice & guidance when needed. I had a great day, came home still buzzing & used my bowl straight away!"

"Superb day with Anna. Arrived with some nerves having never used a lathe before. But I was soon fascinated by Anna’s clear explanations, easy manner and I was put at ease very quickly. I particularly appreciated her allowing me to learn some basic skills just by handling the chisels. Loved the finished result and the way I learned even through some of my mistakes! "Excellent experience with Anna Nichols. I attended with my partner Tom. We had done some woodwork before but not turning. She had a very pleasant and patient manner. Her instructions were clear and perfectly paced. Really pleased with what we achieved and learned. Overall excellent value. I would certainly return for another course and have no hesitation in recommending this experience."

"Wow What an absolutely fantastic day - we had so much fun and Anna is such a friendly and relaxed teacher. I can’t believe we made those gorgeous bowls! I’m hooked…. I want to do more courses now. Seriously, absolutely recommend it. Because the groups are so small, you get lots of 1-2-1 tuition but you never feel like teacher is watching. I learned so much."

"What an experience! Anna explained everything step by step because, as a complete beginner, I needed that. The day went quickly. Step by step Anna demonstrated, then after each step, it was my turn. I was guided unobtrusively, while being allowed to get a feel for the tools and wood. The one to one tuition, meant it all went at my pace, and I did not feel I was keeping others back. Anna is so patient, reassuring, clearly loves her profession and made me feel relaxed. I was so proud of my finished bowl! I hope to be able to take part in more Woodturning classes run by Anna, and even feel I would enjoy being part of a small group for beginners. "

"Well worth the money! Originally I was going to buy a lathe and plod away myself in a self-taught fashion from day 1. I'm glad I didn't as I now realise I could've wasted a whole load of time and money. Great practical training but also great advice on equipment, tools etc"
