"Wonderful course, great set-up, fantastic instructor ( Andy), lovely bunch of co-attendees and tremendously satisfying to see such unexpectedly satisfying results!"

"Just completed a two day course and thoroughly enjoyed every minute, never done it before but after a quick tutorial the 8 of us on the course were bashing away happily. Advice was always on hand when needed and the atmosphere was friendly and fun, everyone had a wonderful time and left with a unique memento of their time. I would not hesitate to recommend the course to anyone."

"Fantastic workshop in stunning gardens. Amazing how even as a total novice you start off with a block of stone and take home a sculpture! Andrew is a wonderful tutor - calm and patient and the pace is relaxed - the whole process is really satisfying. Highly recommended - I’m definitely coming back for more. Thank you! 😊"

"As others have noted, Andrew has a relaxed approach to instruction which does not mean he is not paying attention. He seems to have mastered the art of giving guidance but never hovering, so that you feel confident to proceed with your creation but can always call on him for help. He also has a nice sense of humour but never at your expense. I felt comfortable to work at my own pace and attempt whatever I desired. Mount Pleasant Gardens make a wonderful setting - I had lunch on day one nested in a kind of jungle paradise. Day two, I was too busy carving to eat! I loved the rhythm, the total absorption, and the physicality of removing stone to make a shape. I also recommend the tea and cakes at the little cafe in the gardens which was open on the first day. If not open, try the excellent coffee at the bike place down the road."
