"I had such a fun day doing a linocut workshop with the fabulous @alixalmond. Great to get out, learn new skills, meet new people, and have the freedom to relax and be creative at the same time. I was not the only one to tackle a dog…another lady carved her dog called ‘Little Mouse’…it was so charming! We did a print swap and they look fabulous sitting side by side. I would highly recommend her classes - thank you Alix."

"Alix hits the perfect balance in her delivery, she is patient & always on hand to answer any question & to steer in the right direction. I was slightly nervous about what to expect but Alix‘s relaxed & fun personality soon caused the nerves to disappear. A fantastic day with yummy cake to help with afternoon fatigue! "Fabulous day. A relaxed and fun workshop. Well paced with just the right amount of attention. Everything supplied on the day. I especially liked that Alix supplied a variety of carving tools to try. Nice small group allowing time for individual questions and answers while letting the group be creative and gently directing us to out very own masterpieces! Great location with friendly and helpful staff. Really enjoyed the experience and would do again without hesitation."

"Fantastic day! I'd come across the concept of 'lino printing' when a couple of our nieces had done it in school art lessons. 'Lino' to me equated to 'floor covering', so to make art out of it was an intriguing idea... Having come across Alix at one of her exhibitions, she gave the impression that she would be a good person to introduce someone to this art-form. And I was not disappointed. She was clear in her instructions, and yet flexible to work with each of us, whatever our level of natural or acquired ability... All of the equipment was provided, and the day was a great combination of relaxation and concentration! The group size was just right, so that each of us was able to feel supported without being watched! It was also really helpful that she pointed us in the right direction if we would like to pursue things further, with info on equipment supplies and suppliers, and good books on the subject. And the location (Bonds) was a fascinating setting (with good food and drinks); a perfect location for a little browsing to allow those arm and upper body muscles to relax! Thanks, Alix!"

"I thoroughly enjoyed my day at Bonds doing linocut printing with Alix. She’s very easy to talk to and fun. And she is a very supportive and interesting teacher. I found the process really exciting, and although I worried that I was a bit slow Alix assured me it would all be fine and it was! The people in the group were all lovely and we just chatted away while we worked and had a nice lunch. The actual printing was thrilling. My design just suddenly came to life before my eyes and it was just so satisfying doing a run of prints. All the other designs were beautiful in their own unique way. A lovely day!"

"What a highly enjoyable day! I think I might have found yet another craft I want to pursue. This workshop was an excellent introduction to the art of Linocut printing. Alix is an excellent and highly knowledgeable tutor and she gives you space to have a go but is on hand to help out if things start going awry. It was fantastic to have not just one, but six finished artworks to come away with. I'm definitely going to pursue Linocut printing further - I'm already on the internet looking at equipment! A thoroughly enjoyable workshop, in a relaxed, creative atmosphere - thank you Alix."

"My second trip to Bonds for a Linocut day with Alix was just as much fun and success as my first! What could be better on a rubbish wet August day than be tucked up with like minded 'crafty' folk in the arm and dry enjoying their company, a laugh, good food (Bonds do wonderful catering) and excellent teaching. Alix is really good at urging you on to do bigger and better. Endlessly patient. I feel very inspired after a day with her!"

We learnt about the different types of materials, inks and equipment before cutting our own designs. We each produced 6 finished prints that we were thrilled with.
