"Me and my partner had a great time in Rachel's workshop designing and making a few of our own pieces of jewellery from plant parts we found in the area. It was a comprehensive description of how to work with metal clay and I feel confident we could have a go of it ourselves after this class. I think next time I have a go at this I might try with a small, textured seashell. Rachel was happy to have a go at working with any small objects we brought, but the leaf pieces turned out great."

"Was a bit apprehensive at first when I turned up as I had no idea what to expect as I have never been on a needle felting course before. However, our tutor, Rachel, was fantastic and put us at ease with lots of advice and tips on how to achieve a beautiful picture. I must say I was so pleased with the end result and can't wait to frame it. The course was excellent value for money. The materials were all provided on the day and there was also plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits to go round. A great day out and I'm glad I went. A great stress buster too!"

"I thoroughly enjoyed my day enamelling with Rachel. We were made so welcome and the cabin we worked in had a lovely outlook over the garden and woodlands. I ended up making a few pendants and a pair of earrings over the day to take home with me. There was a wonderful selection of copper blanks and enamel colours (plus bits and bobs to add texture /detail) so you could let your creativity run wild! I was really pleased with how some of my pieces turned out and I have definitely got the enamelling bug now! Would highly recommend this course!"

"Enamelling is great! So is Rachel as a teacher. This course was in a very lovely setting which really sets the mood and scene for creativity, it is so much easier to feel creative in a woodland garden. The pieces I made are much better than I thought I could or would and I am really pleased with the results."

"Booking the course was easy and Rachel was very helpful and replied promptly to e mails. The venue had easy parking and good facilities .Rachel and Rhian were very friendly and informative. "Excellent workshop, highly recommend. We were taught and supported through the processes of needle felting, wet felting and embellishing of our projects including machine embroidery. We each produced amazingly unique pictures and it was great to watch each other’s develop. The atmosphere is very friendly, relaxed and supportive with plenty of one to one support available when required. Rachel is an excellent knowledgable teacher and mentor and I will definitely be returning for further workshops hosted by Rachel"

There were plenty of products for us to choose from for our projects and if we wanted to buy anything so we could make more at home again there was plenty of choice. "Yet another excellent workshop with Rachel and Rhiannon. Managed to produce a reasonable copy of my collie Rosie. A friendly and enthusiastic class, lots of laughing and comparing of dogs. Is really incredible how a bundle of wool can transform into an actual animal. There was a variety of dog breeds being recreated and at the end we were all pleased with the replicas of our precious pets. This is my second class with Rachel and I can honestly say I have enjoyed every minute and learnt so much about this craft. I will be booking future classes and recommending to family and friends. Thank you both xx"

"Dear Rachel and Rhian. Thank you both for another fab workshop. I booked the workshop with my mum and partner to create our little fury friends. A cairn terrier, a pug and a staffy. The practical skills you both shared to help us make our dogs were fabulous. The day was full of creativity, patience and plenty of laughs. Really lovely group in a great venue. Can’t quite believe how the dogs evolved from a fluffy mass of wool in the morning to realistic pooches in the afternoon. I’m still amazed at the thought you put into matching the wool and colours prior to the workshop to match our dogs, brilliant! And thank you x Can’t wait for the next class xx"

"A really enjoyable day last Sunday, 25th November. Great venue and a friendly group of fellow stabbers. I have made a few 3d felt animals already, but wanted to do a picture this time. Lots of help and advice available and I came away with a picture of a robin that I was well on the way to finishing and feeling quite pleased with my efforts. Plenty of coffee and biscuits and made to feel welcome by all in spite of it being my first time there and not knowing anyone else. Thankyou all for a lovely day."

Teresa Davies reviewed: Needle felted puffin

"Due to health issues I was looking for a new craft that could be done with minimal space and on my lap. Venue for the day just 5 minutes from my home, very clean, all facilities available. Rachel, and Rhian, were very welcoming and helpful, providing plenty of refreshments as well as expert instructions and advice. My fellow crafters were all enthusiastic and friendly, some experienced and several a novice like myself. We had the option to produce a 3D animal or a picture, I chose the picture. Rachel provided a multitude of colours and types of wool to work with, the process was quite simple and I soon had a floral 'masterpiece' unfolding! I managed to complete the felting element of my picture with the added bonus of being shown how to make and add petals to transform it to a 3D picture. I am very pleased with my work and will add some beading to it then frame in a shadow box. I purchased some wool and needles from Rachel to continue this craft at home, and Santa may be bringing me more supplies. I plan to book onto the another course to have a go at 3D animals, and later wet felting. I would highly recommend this course as you can produce a work of art in a short space of time, it is suitable for someone with arthritis and carpal tunnel syndrome ( I was surprised that it did not aggravate my hands too much, take a break regularly). I also think this was a reasonable price for the day course. Thank you Rachel for your time and patience and expertise."

"Loved the class and learned so much. We got to know the names of the different wool and needle sizes. Some of us made pictures while others made hares. Help and advice was on hand whenever we needed it . I started off with a section of core wool which I transferred into a lovely hare (much to my surprise). There were people new to felting like myself and people who have been before and wanted to do more. Tea, coffee and biscuits were made available and all we needed was a packed lunch. I would highly recommend the courses as Rachael is an amazing teacher."

"A superb day from start to finish. I wasn't sure what to expect and, attending by myself, was a little nervous but what a fantastic day! I met a lovely group of ladies and we shared our learning, our biscuits and some gossip too! I created a gorgeous needle felted hare, yes me, I made it! Rach is a great teacher, patient and kind, explaining everything in a clear way and often several times! I would highly recommend a course with Heartfelt 2 Inspire, I think I may be a bit hooked!"
