Willow Wreath Weaving workshops

Description

It’s that festive time of year again so come and make your stylish Christmas Wreath with us at Denmark Farm. Using colourful willow, you will learn how to weave your own 10-14″ wreath. You will be able to choose your own colour combination to make each wreath unique to you. You will add sprays of locally grown foliage and fir cones, ensuring that the colours of the willow are still on show. Finally, the wreath will be completed with a beautiful ribbon bow. Workshop Tutor: Justine Burgess of West Wales Willows. Justine originally trained as an engineer, and worked in the charity and education sectors, before becoming a partner in West Wales Willows with her husband, Alan. On their smallholding in Carmarthenshire, they grow around 250 varieties of willow and sell it as cuttings and rods during the winter for others to grow, as well as selling their own willow products and sharing her expertise through workshops. There will be two half day sessions to choose from: 10am to 12.30pm and 1.30-4pm. Please select the appropriate session when booking.

What's included in the price?

All tools and equipment will be provided for a small extra charge of £5 per person (cash on the day). A selection of willow colours and other cut foliage will be provided for a small fee of £5 per person. Plus tea, coffee and fresh mince pies.
