Description
This class gives you the opportunity to give welding a go for the first time, You will get to use professional equipment in an industrial workshop, under the supervision and guidance of our team of professional welders. We will start with a very quick guide to the theory and then move straight on to putting down some solid welds in a mix of positions and thicknesses of steel plate. This class will cover the core skills and techniques needed to get you started on your welding path. It's a perfect place to start if you've not done any welding before or fancy taking it up for your own DIY projects and want to point in the right direction We also discuss the right sort of machines / wire / filler etc if you want to take up welding at home and want to know what sort of kit you will need to get started.
What's included in the price?
All the tools, materials, P.P.E (safety glasses, hearing protection, apron, etc) Free tea, coffee and Squash are provided. But please bring your own packed lunch along. You will need to wear work type clothes, no nylon or synthetics etc. – (Jeans and T-shirt most appropriate expect sparks & flames) Also, safety boots are preferred otherwise leather or walking boots are best, no open-toed footwear is allowed in the forge for safety reasons.
