Watercolour Workshop with Claire Waltier MacGillivray Claire is back with her fabulous watercolour workshop on Saturday 15th March. Claire has a BA (Hon’s) in painting and is an artist, designer and illustrator based in Cheshire. Working mainly in the medium of watercolours and often focusing on flowers as her subject, colour is at the heart of Claire’s work and she has extensive experience in fine art, art education and textile design Enjoy a relaxing morning creating a painting of anemones in the vibrant village of Tarporley with it’s boutique shops at The Little Brick House between 10 am – 12:30 pm Claires approach to painting is one of a loose creative painterly style of watercolour, using a wet in wet technique, As well as Claire guiding you through the painting of the anemones she will also give you her insight into watercolour materials and you will have the opportunity to try some out. You will learn how to mix colours to create background washes of colour and apply textures to your painting. You will finish the workshop with your own creative anemone artwork to take home with you. No experience is necessary as Claire will guide you through the process through demonstrations and individual tuition. If you have some experience Claire will help you to nurture and develop further your own style, enhancing your observation and expression. Workshops start at 10.00am and aim to finish by 12.30 (Claire will also be hosting a small pop up shop)…
