Description

This encaustic art course is suitable for beginners and improvers. It's a wonderful vivid art form; a great way to produce quick pictures as well as adding to your art palette. I also love using it for card making. I can often do weekdays, so if a Wednesday or Friday work for you, do get in touch via the 'message the tutor' button and I can get you booked in. We will look at the wonder of painting with molten wax, using an iron and heated stylus. Students will be shown several techniques to get started, and then we will work on abstracts and landscapes as well as using the heated stylus to create more detail. Encaustic art is fabulous for beginners and for those who do not consider themselves 'artistic' because the results are instant and the pictures vibrant. COST ~ My home workshop only fits up to 3 people, which means any course booked will not be cancelled due to low numbers. The course price shown is for ONE to ONE classes. (If another person wants to book the same date as you, I will get in touch to discuss this.) If you are booking for 2/3 people the course fee will be reduced per person (usually by around 30%) so please get in touch for me to organise this for you. Class runs from 10 – 3pm. Classes take place in Colchester, Essex.

My passion is teaching. I have a level 3 teaching qualification (E.A.T award) as well as over 15 years teaching experience. I have recently completed my PMC Certification level 1 -3, the camp PMC 101 qualification and am just finishing the qualified instructors course for PMC. I love to experiment and am always happy to tailor classes to your experience or interests.
