Description

Tree swing embroidery panel, hand dyed on high quality linen fabric. This lovely tree sits on the village green in a historic English Cotswold village. I have always thought it would be a great place to have a tree swing. I have stylised the tree and added a rustic seat to while away the hours contemplating nature or reading a book. French knots are used to create the spring foliage, with a simple split stitch making up the rest of the embroidery in a range of muted green and neutral shades. Our embroidery kit has been created to allow relative beginners with only a knowledge of a couple of stitches to complete the design. Plenty of thread is supplied so you do not have to be an expert to make these designs your own. All packed in an A5 box for ease of postage and gifting. Perfect for slow stitch, junk journalling, embroidery or quilting. Panels are hand crafted with the highest quality inks and are colourfast and washable at 30 degrees Celsius. Maureen is a master hand embroiderer with over 25 years experience. Skills handed down from Irish ancestors have been honed with training from world class embroidery schools. Small courses and workshops are often held in her native Cumbria and the hand embroidery courses can be studied via distance learning or online.

"This kit arrived earlier this week and is nicely packaged and has everything needed to make the item. The instructions look clear and the end product looks like it will be beautiful (depending on my skill!). The only reason I didn't give this 'excellent' is due to the fact that there's no print out for the stitches required, I'm going to look them up on YouTube as I think I know what I'm doing, but a simple print out showing how to do these stitches would be useful for others. Overall, I'd buy this kit again, or another kit from the same maker."
