Description

Poppy seed head embroidery project in teal shades, makes a really useful needle roll with plenty of space for sewing needles and threads in use. Our poppy seed head design is printed in our studio on a cotton fabric specially design by us to compliment the lovely variegated teal and beige threads from our fine perle range. Easy to sew using simple running, straight, stem and split stitch techniques and features a beautiful oatmeal wool mix felt. A lovely project to tuck in your bag for work or holiday as it does not require an embroidery hoop. Makes an ideal gift. Completed needle roll measures approx 6.5 x 21 cm. Level - Intermediate (not for beginners).

Maureen is a master hand embroiderer with over 25 years experience. Skills handed down from Irish ancestors have been honed with training from world class embroidery schools. Small courses and workshops are often held in her native Cumbria and the hand embroidery courses can be studied via distance learning or online.

"This kit arrived earlier this week and is nicely packaged and has everything needed to make the item. The instructions look clear and the end product looks like it will be beautiful (depending on my skill!). The only reason I didn't give this 'excellent' is due to the fact that there's no print out for the stitches required, I'm going to look them up on YouTube as I think I know what I'm doing, but a simple print out showing how to do these stitches would be useful for others. Overall, I'd buy this kit again, or another kit from the same maker."
