Description
Designed for the Craft Sanctuary retreat in February 2017, this sparkling dragonfly with iridescent lacy wings was an instant hit. Everything you need to complete this design (apart from the hoop) is in the pack and you can choose either a navy blue or burgundy duchess satin. The design is hand drawn onto the fabric so you can begin embroidering straight away. Traditional goldwork threads and wires are accompanied by stunning modern metallics, beads and sequins. All presented in a resealable bag which you can use to keep your work clean as you stitch. Vegans can also enjoy stitching this work as we use a lovely soft faux metallic leather which looks just like the real thing. Finished design measures approx. 16 x 16cm on a piece of fabric approx 25 x 25cm so you have plenty of scope to mount and frame your finished design or use it on another project such as a box lid cover. Full instructions are included but if you get stuck Maire will be quite happy to assist via the 'Ask a question'. This kit makes a lovely gift for a friend or loved one. Maureen is a master hand embroiderer with over 25 years experience. Skills handed down from Irish ancestors have been honed with training from world class embroidery schools. Small courses and workshops are often held in her native Cumbria and the hand embroidery courses can be studied via distance learning or online.
