An opportunity to make something special from the Liz Emtage Porcelain Collection. No previous experience necessary. Have fun making a Porcelain gift for yourself or someone special in your life. Would you like to have a go at making one of Liz's porcelain pieces to give as a gift to someone you love?
What's included in the price?
On Saturday 21st June you will make your porcelain piece using Liz’s porcelain clay and learning her techniques. You can bring your favourite textures and flowers to press into the clay, or help yourself from a selection provided. On Saturday 28th June you can come back and glaze your piece using a wide selection of glaze colours and learning Liz's glazing techniques. Your glazed piece will then be fired again. All finished pieces will be ready for collection by the following weekend. Fun for children and adults alike (children need to be accompanied by an adult). Come on your own or book with a group of friends. All materials are included in the cost. Each class on each day will be around 2 - 3 hours long depending on what you would like to make. Class starts at 2pm. The cost starts at £110 to make a Vase / Night light / Cover pot / 2 Tiles / Porcelain picture / 4 Coasters / 2 Soap Dishes / Sushi dish / Frame / Mobile stand or something of your own design. To make your own lamp or pendant shade the prices start at £210.

Liz Emtage has been working with porcelain clay for over 20 years, graduating from Bath College in 1996. Liz is inspired by the beauty of the natural world - she uses foraged materials to create textures in her lighting and tile pieces. Liz has been teaching art since she was at secondary school at the end of the 1980's. She enjoys teaching different ages and abilities and loves helping people develop their creative potential.

There is free parking in surrounding streets.
There is a car park at st Leonards warrior square station (at the end of Kings Road) and on South Street https://www.hastings.gov.uk/parking/carparks/crystalsquare/ (behind Kings Road)
Please wear warm clothes, that you don't mind getting a bit dirty or bring an apron.
If you have some favourite textures or plants that you would like to try pressing into the porcelain clay bring them along too.
There is one step up into the shop. Let me know if you think you might need extra help.
The nearest station is St Leonards Warrior Square with direct trains from London Charing Cross and London Victoria. There are buses stopping on nearby London Road and on the sea front.
