"Myself and my son attended M.C. Woodcrafts' Spoon Carving Taster Session last Saturday and had a lovely day in the woods with Mike learning how to safely use sloyd and spoon knives to carve a spoon. Mike's teaching style was very natural and easy to understand. I learned lots on this course and really enjoyed the whole experience. It doesn't matter how many YouTube videos you watch, this kind of teaching is in a different league. Thanks Mike!"

"I never thought that a day spent making a wooden spoon would be quite so interesting and fun. Mike is a very encouraging tutor not only for the practical aspects of learning to carve but plenty of information about materials, design, suitability of different timbers etc. Mike is also very knowlegeable about natural history making the most of the lovely woodland setting just above Otley. I attended the course with 2 friends but is a great activity to book solo."
