Description

Come and learn the ancient art of mosaic-making with a modern twist! Use recycled materials to make your own unique mosaic. You will learn the direct method of mosaic making in a supportive and friendly environment. This course is suitable for complete beginners and also those with experience making mosaics. All are welcome! You will select a base from a few different shapes and sizes for your mosaic and choose from a wide range of colourful tiles, crockery, beads, buttons and other treasures to create your mosaic. You will be guided through the various stages of the mosaic-making process. There will be many examples, designs and books to inspire you. There will also be detailed demonstrations and 1 to 1 guidance. You will go home with a mosaic you are proud of! What to bring: - All materials are included but you are welcome to bring any colourful tiles, broken or old crockery, beads and buttons you might like to include in your mosaic. - You might want to look online for some inspiration before you come to the workshop. Pinterest and Instagram are great for ideas. - I will provide aprons but you are welcome to bring your own. - If you wear glasses please bring them. If not I will provide safety glasses for you to wear. - Please wear sturdy covered shoes and clothes that you don’t mind getting dusty. - A packed lunch.

If you have any specific dietary requirements or allergies, please feel free to bring along your own provisions/milk alternatives etc. And of course you take your wonderful creations from the day. Terms - Fee is payable on booking. If, having booked, you can no longer attend, we are unable to offer a refund or transfer you to another workshop. However, you may nominate someone else to attend the workshop or class in your place by notifying us via the 'message the tutor button'. We reserve the right to cancel a workshop up to 48 hours prior to the workshop date. We will only cancel due to insufficient places sold and you will be refunded the full amount paid.
