Description
Christmas Wreath made with Natural Materials - Foraging & Fizz included! Treat yourself and a friend at the fabulous Southlands Arts Centre walled garden and grounds in West Drayton creating a bespoke, sustainable & natural Christmas wreath. To get the workshop going, you will be given a tour of the grounds where you can collect your own fresh foliage. Sue Williams, our gardener/florist, will be on hand to take you through the mechanics of the process of wiring and creating the wreath and the techniques of adding your chosen natural materials to enhance your design. All materials will be supplied but please feel free to bring your own secateurs, wire cutters, loppers and gardening gloves. Being a 'natural' workshop, you may think 'enough is enough' or may want to bring your own additional 'glitzy' materials to enhance or add finishing touches to your individual design. The workshop is suitable for all levels of experience. Beginners in floristry welcome and more experienced florists may want to come to follow the foraging and wiring techniques. Please come prepared to walk around the grounds during the winter season. Warm drinks, nibbles and festive fizz included. Workshops are limited to 8 people so early booking is essential. Your wreath will be unique and you can use new skill in years to come.
