Description

This printmaking kit is my mid range CLASSIC option, suitable for a complete beginner or somebody who tried this relaxing arts activity in the past and wants to revisit! Warning - it's addictive!! You will get mindfully lost in the cutting process and then feel uplifted when you come to working with the sumptuous printing inks. Set aside an hour to cut the lino & another hour for printing, enough time to complete a small print project. All my kits are put together by myself & local artist friends. Together in my art studio, we unpack deliveries, check everything is clean & working, carefully wrap & package, stamping by hand as we go. I am keen to keep a 'handmade' feel to my kits, the same as with my artwork & workshops. The great thing about lino printing is that you can learn at your own pace, make it as easy or difficult as you like. Such a beautiful process made popular by Matisse & Picasso due to its simplicity. Inking tray in white, plastic A4 size approximately Roller (brayer) 6cm rubber specifically for lino print & can use with other crafts Lino sheet blue EASYCUT reversible 10x15cm or A6 Lino cut tool with 5 blades, watch my YouTube to see how to use and how each cutting blade produces a different mark! 2 x tubes 37ml premium branded printing ink from Speedball, water based for easy clean up and mixable. Plenty here to produce a few projects. For use with paper, not fabric. Artist palette knife (spatula) plastic white Pack of 10 card blanks 6x6inch with envelopes, use as greetings cards or cut in half to use as postcard prints to frame & send to friends Design template sheet with 4 designs, these are my own art prints to inspire you. For those who prefer to focus on learning technique, you can directly copy these with tracing paper & follow a video tutorial Tracing paper to transfer a design from paper to lino using pencil along with a mark making template to show you different marks to try out with the different shape blades Full written instructions for those who don't want to watch a tutorial video, with handy tips and hints
