Description
A new addition to the workshop repertoire, these slides are comfy and cool with a soft foam insole and stitched randing finish. Just like the beginner sandal workshop, we’ll be building the sandals around your feet so you can get a great fit. The best thing about this workshop is that you will leave with all the skills to make sandals again at home using easily accessible tools and equipment. There will be a minimum of 3 colours available in either vegetable tanned or chrome tanned leather. Sustainability is a very important part of Smug Soles so I only use vegetable tanned leather which is kinder to the environment or chrome tanned leather which is sustainably sourced or industrial waste destined for landfill. Waste is kept to a minimum and offcuts are used for smaller products like keyrings and earrings. This is a beginner shoe making class so no previous experience is necessary. It is however a full on day that requires concentration throughout. Please be prepared to be challenged! Tea, coffee and snacks provided. Lunch not included but there are plenty of lovely cafes and shops nearby to pick something up.
