Description
If you’ve ever considered joining bits of metal together in your art, and wondered how best to do it, then this short course will get you up and running. This 3 hour session will allow you to learn the basic skills of Mig and Arc welding, using scrap metal to practice and develop your skills. Grinding and safe workshop practice will be covered.

During this hands-on workshop you will be introduced to Mig, Spot & Arc Welding – learning more about what they are and when and where to use them. Tips and tricks for beginners and improvers Welders terms, types of joints and problem solving Learn how to join steel together and gain confidence by practicing techniques. You will have lots of practical time to use a Mig welder to build your own steel objects from a variety of interesting shapes. You will also join sheet steel with a spot welder and try out an arc (stick) welder. You will also use an angle grinder to prepare or finish parts. Basic materials are all included Open to all levels including beginners Health and Safety briefing will be given Please bring a notebook/sketchbook It is essential to wear old clothes and strong footwear
