Description
Entrelac Knitting gives the effect of a knitted patchwork. This technique creates lots of blocks that look like interwoven diamonds that are joined together as you knit. Once mastered, you can use this method to produce finished items that will astound all your friends (knitters or non-knitters). One word of warning – this can become addictive!! During the workshop you will practise the techniques needed for Entrelac knitting. In class you will produce a small sample square. You will then be ready to tackle a pattern for a cowl and a scarf that you take away with you. Skill Level You need to be able to do both knit and purl stitch confidently to fully enjoy this workshop.
What's included in the price?
Please bring a selection of needles to use on the practise piece (3.25, 3.5, 4, 4.5 & 5 would be a good selection). Everything else you need is included in this workshop as well as light refreshments. Each participant receives a 10% off voucher to spend online or put towards another workshop.

Our classes are held in a beautiful beamed room at the top of our medieval building in York and in the Yorkshire town of Ilkley in a converted Victorian double-fronted shop. They are taught by practicing designers and makers with considerable expertise in (and passion for) their respective crafts, and considerable teaching experience.
