Having made 70 plus instruments over the last 12 years I wanted to offer my skills to fellow music lovers. On the acoustic guitar course you will learn how to make a beautiful instrument from quality hardwoods.👌👌👌 Your course will involve the following :- Wood steam bending, Accurate planning and measuring, wood shaping from templates, binding, fretwork, truss rod install, internal bracing, tuner fittings, neck geometry, bridge making, and wood finishing, etc.👌👌👌 Woods will include rosewood, mahogany, spruce, zebrano, maple, etc. Each day is about 8 hours with 30 mins for lunch. We will work to fine measurements and fine detail to ensure a responsive and vibrant sounding instrument that you will be very proud to take home.👌👌👌 I only work with 1 student each time to give the maximum time to the student. My love of woodcraft was due to a meeting with a guitarist friend who had made an acoustic guitar. We talked about his guitar for many hours and I thought it would be a challenge for me to have a go! Well that was 6 years ago and now in 2023 I am in a small workshop in Stoke where I build various instruments. The Strumstick instrument build is a great way to get to grips with fine woodworking and is an ideal step towards acoustic guitar building. No experience in woodwork is needed.
