"My daughter and I had a lovely day on Saturday on the Silver Jewellery Boat. It is a cosy narrow boat moured on the canal in a lovely spot. Jonathan was a really good teacher and very encouraging as I have never handled tools of any kind before. We practised on copper to start with and then moved on to silver. We both produced a silver pendant which we were very pleased with. It was a really relaxed and friendly atmosphere with plenty of drinks and cake. I can thoroughly recommend the day. Thanks a lot. ."

"My sisters and I have just spent 2 brilliant days, as a complete beginners, aboard The Silver Jewellery Boat under Jonathan’s careful and encouraging tuition. We came away with a collection of copper and silver bracelets, rings and key rings that we were all thrilled with. The whole experience was SO relaxing. Not only is Jonathan a great teacher but he is a perfect host, providing regular soft drinks, tea, coffe, cake and biscuits! We enjoyed lunch, sitting in the sunshine alongside the canal watching the wildlife and listening to the birds. Look forward to returning and introducing family and friends to this amazingly inspiring and relaxing experience! Thank you Jonathan!"

"What a fantastic experience making jewellery. My sisters and I had two days in the first few days of sunshine this year on Jonathan's boat making Copper and Silver jewellery pieces. He was a patient teacher and took us through the key skills prior to making our own. Coffee, Cake and juice was supplied to keep us going it was such a relaxing two days with the sun coming through the windows and lots of fresh air. We will definitely be coming back for more with our daughters later on in the summer."

"My sisters and I have just finished two days on the Silver Jewellery Boat with Jonathan and have a wonderful bangle and ring, of our own design, to show for it. We have had a brilliant time and can't recommend it enough as a fun, creative experience. We were complete beginners but Jonathan was a very patient teacher and supported us in producing some lovely peices of jewellery. It was a delightful setting on the canal. "What a lovely way to spend a day and what a venue. Very clever place to have a cosy workshop. Started off with simple chain making skills and then some copper work. Lunch was spent in the sun on canal side before getting on with making our bangles. I'm wearing mine with great pride! Several mugs of tea and luscious cake thrown in for good measure. Thank you Jonathan, you are a great teacher with magnificent patience, luckily for us!! Would recommend this course time and time again and have done."

"We spent a very enjoyable day in July making a bangle. The boat is well set up and Jonathan is a teacher by profession which shows. Usually reasonably good with crafts, I proved to be very ham-fisted on this day but Jonathan was patient and encouraging. Ended up with a lovely bangle which has been much admired and which I still find myself looking at with some amazement. Would recommend this course for anyone wanting to try working with silver for the first time."

"What a wonderful day! Calm, relaxing environment and excellent tuition. We were made to feel at ease with as much practice as we wanted with copper wire and sheets before moving on to silver. We learnt how to cut, smooth and polish the silver and ended up with a pair of stud earrings, which everyone has admired. I would thoroughly recommend this course and will certainly be going back again. The homemade cake was delicious and a lovely touch."

"I enjoyed a day on The Jewellery Boat making two different types of rings. I hadn't make any jewellery like this before but found the teaching to be excellent as Jonathan took us through the various techniques in a calm, pleasant, and easy to understand way. I came away not only with my two rings which I made under Jonathan's watchful eye but also with a practical knowledge of working with wire (copper and silver), shaping, filing, sawing, soldering, polishing - and lots more. Great cake and lots of refreshments made the day on the Narrowboat a lovely experience - thank you Jonathan!"
