"What a fabulous one day course! Julian is a great teacher and sets a nice relaxed but steady pace. There's so much to learn and he covers everything in detail, answering questions along the way. We both came away being able to weld, with lots of advice given for a particular motorbike repair Mark is going to make. He has a wealth of experience and knowledge with welding and blacksmithing and I was able to do a lot of practising using MIG weld. "Two of us attended this one day course, a friend who'd done a small amount of welding with not very satisfactory results and me a complete novice. Brilliant day, Julian is a very knowledgeable chap and he spent a long time with us well over the the allotted time. Lots of hands on practice as well as coaching. We feel confident to now go on and practice further as well as starting repairs/fabrication with our own kit. Can't recommend this highly enough to anyone wanting to get started with welding."

"Great value for money course and a great teacher. Was willing to work with me and make the course relevant to my needs and desire to do welding work on my van. Highly knowledgeable and very experienced. Went out of the way to show me what to do and did not rush the learning - but also did not hold back on pushing me to do better either - best of both worlds. I'd genuinely recommend this course to anyone looking to learn welding. Probably would get more hands on experience doing this than a "Pro Welding" Course. "This course exceeded my expectations by far. Julian is an excellent tutor and definitely knows his craft. Great discussions throughout the day with more than enough "hands-on". Because my engineering apprenticeship was in aircraft engineering we were never taught to weld. I have taught myself over the years to basically "stick" metal together (badly) but managed to get by. After spending the day with Julian I now have a good understanding of the "science" behind what happens when we weld. Plus the practical skills to carry out the task and how to adjust the technique for different orientations. I strongly recommend this course to anyone seeking a condensed course that will end with the ability to do basic fabrication or vehicle repair. I'm sure now all I need is to practice what I've learned to perfect my techniques. Thanks for a great day. I'm sure once I've had some practice I'll be booking another course with Julian to further upskill. "
