"What a great day! Jolene is a great teacher of huge experience. My partner bought me a voucher, and Jolene was very helpful when booking. I was with a couple of others and made a fibula-type brooch and complex ring and she was there to help, advising, never taking over. Couldn't recommend her cosy studio more! X"

"Had a fantastic day with Jolene. I bought this course for my mum and me as a Christmas present and we made a bangle each and a shawl pin. It was a lovely day with only 3 people in the group. Lots of flexibility as to what you could do and a range of techniques covered at the level needed to make your preferred piece. Many thanks for a great experience."

"My husband Phil and I wanted a weekend workshop to build on skills we had earlier acquired on a course closer to home. I searched the country for a silversmith with the skills, sympathetic aesthetic and flexibility to work with our requirements. Jolene was so helpful and accommodating. It was simply a joy to work with her for the weekend. Her studio is a warm and welcoming cornucopia of curiosities, filled with found objects, art and her own fabulous pieces. It's a very inspiring space. With her considerable knowledge and experience, Jolene was able to guide us to successful completion of our projects. Her restraint meant that we can fully own the finished pieces - the mark of a very good teacher. So glad we made the journey all the way from Suffolk to work with her."

"Whilst on maternity I feel that I have fallen out of touch creatively, so what an absolutely fantastic gift this was to receive! I'm a complete beginner at jewellery making, yet after this 1:1 workshop with the inspiring Jolene, I am now searching through the internet looking for second hand equipment so that I can set up a bench at home! Jolene's workshop itself is charmingly quaint, dusted with treasures from all over; you find that you're inspired before you even sit down with your first cuppa and biscuit. Throughout the day Jolene filled me with confidence, teaching me different processes and techniques. I especially enjoyed hammering to create texture, and having a go at soldering. You initially work with copper and then move on to using silver once you feel content with using the varied tools. The workshop moves at a pace that you are comfortable with. I created a gorgeous baby bangle for my daughter, and then a bangle for myself. With any other the left over materials we made stacking rings, for myself, which I am yet to take off! Thank you very much Jolene. It was great to spend the day with a like-minded lady, who's passion and talent has inspired me. Take care, Charlie & Bonnie."

"What a fantastic experience and great fun to share with my daughter. The quirky, homely and relaxing studio set the scene and Jolene was so knowledgeable and calm it made the whole experience quite therapeutic and very enjoyable for us both. Jolene inspires you with confidence from the start and at the end of the day we both had three lovely pieces to be proud of and take home and show to family and friends. It’s a wonderful gift to give someone of all ages and an ideal excuse for family and friends to get together and do something different. Without doubt we will be going back (we haven’t stopped talking about it since) And as a bonus Jolene makes lovely coffee the best banana bread ever tasted! We had a lovely day at Jolene's, for my part for the first time and as a « non manual » person it was a real hands on experience and I made a fabulous copper and silver bangle! "I have been to a few of Jolene’s workshops and love them all. This time I took my family who were visiting from France. They were not initially keen as they are not practical but were hooked immediately! Jolene makes it so easy to do. We had a fabulous day and all ended up with some beautiful jewellery! Handmade by ourselves !! I would recommend this workshop to anyone who wants to have a great day with family or friends."

"We spent a fabulous day yesterday at Jolene's workshop. Neither myself, my daughter or my mother had any experience of jewellery making and each came home with a beautiful piece of jewellery to wear. Jolene is a patient and enthusiastic tutor. Her workshop is cosy and welcoming and full of interesting pieces to give you inspiration to be creative. I would thoroughly recommend it. "Came for my 21st birthday present. With my mum. Had a really lovely day. Jolene was so welcoming and accommodating, she even made us brownies which were so lovely and really made it special. The place is so cute and quirky. I made a necklace with my name on it and Jolene explained how to do it very well, as well as giving us a practice which was so useful and confidence building. She then suggested my mum wrote the name stencil so it was more sentimental and this was a lovely thought. I’m so pleased with the outcome and Jolene is a lovely lady. Great idea for a special occasion. Thank you x"

"Great day bangle making. Smiled all the way home. Amazing, relaxing studio, a cabinet of curiosities in which to eat cake, be inspired by lots of examples and give it a go. Jolene was great tutor, a lot to take in but all made sense as you start your own project. Really pleased with my 3 bangles. Relaxed, chatty and great balance of help but also letting you develop your own skills. 15 mins easy walk from Walsall station. Thanks for a great day, already told 3 friends about it and sent photos before I got back!"

"Had such a lovely day! My mom bought me this course as a gift for my 40th birthday, I got to make some lovely pieces, an ankle bracelet that incorporated my star sign and birth stone personalised with my maiden name, married name and birth date which is really special to me and also x2 rings for myself and 1 for my mom to remember the day too! I’m so happy with my handmade jewellery and the experience was great! Jolene is a fabulous teacher and lovely person too! Definitely a day to remember and will definitely be going back, can’t recommend enough! Thankyou Jolene for a very special experience and lovely day xx"

"What a brilliant day! Booked the one day pendant and Earring workshop for a special friend’s 50th birthday. We both wanted something that would occupy our heads as well as our hands. With no previous experience, to go home at the end of the day with a pendant and a set of earrings in both silver and copper, that I will feel proud to wear, was amazing. Jolene got the balance so right in terms of using her expertise to guide, support and encourage us to ‘have a go’. Her people skills are brilliant and this relaxed social atmosphere made the day both enjoyable and productive. Learning that she has had whole family's doing her bangle workshop and participants being as young as five; this will definitely be my Christmas present for my two grandchildren. We were total novices and came away with jewellery we love, having had a lovely day. Jolene is a great teacher and is very inspiring. It’s all very relaxed and comfortable. Plus home made cake! "I attended this course last week with a friend. We had a really great day learning the techniques to produce 2 x copper and one silver bangle. Jolene was professional and fun teaching us all of the necessary steps to complete our bangles. Attaching semi precious stones was harder than we had thought - but gave pretty finishing touches to our bangles. I am sure that we will both be back to learn more!"

"My friend & I attended the Bangle Workshop today and what a fabulous time we had! We made 2 copper Bangles & 1 silver Bangle each, having great fun sorting through the treasurechest of precious & semi-precious gemstones to adorn our work. Jolene the owner was absolutely fantastic, she was very professional and yet very personable in showing us the various techniques of her trade and this enhanced a most enjoyable learning experience. The kettle was always on the boil for cups of tea/coffee and the selection of cakes & biscuits throughout the day were a real treat. Can't wait to go on the next course."

I went to Jolene with my fiancee to make our wedding rings - if I'm honest, I was a little nervous about it before going, having not made any jewellery before and it being quite an important one! But Jolene made me feel completely at ease, guiding me through all stages, in her amazing, cute, quirky studio and the end result was Amazing!! I couldn't be more happy with the ring and with how the day went - it was so relaxed, fun, special and I'd love to go again. Can't recommend Jolene highly enough!!"

"Had the most lovely day working on jewellery techniques with Jolene. I had an idea in my head that Jolene helped me to translate into 3 beautiful pairs of earrings, showing me how to plan and follow through a design from start to finish throughout the day. This was my first day away from my 6 month baby girl and Jolene was so understanding of this, providing lots of tea and gorgeous homemade brownies, which really helped me relax into the day! I left the day feeling eager to start new projects and gained confidence in my own ability - thank you very much for all your patience, Jolene...I’m sure I’ll be back! X"

"Jolene is amazing! Her quirky, inspiration-filled studio is the perfect environment to spend the day making. The intention for the day was to make my wedding ring because I couldn’t find anywhere that would sell one as narrow as I liked when paired with my engagement ring. I managed to make the perfect ring, a pair of earrings for the big day out of the spare white gold and also some surprise gifts for my 5 bridesmaids! The day felt so relaxed and fun and, with the help of Jolene, pretty straightforward. She made all demonstrations clear, and then allowed me to create a mock-up of what I intended to create so the pressure was off a little when it came to the real thing! When my friends heard about me having made my own ring they all loved the idea and agreed it’s such a unique and memorable thing to have done! I cannot recommend this enough!"

"What an amazing day. I have always loved Jolene’s jewellery but when my husband bought me a bangle making workshop for Xmas I couldn’t wait to get started. My friend joined me too as she was also an admirer of Jolene’s beautiful jewellery. This was the perfect workshop for beginners. Jolene was a fabulous tutor and hostess and made us feel extremely relaxed. She did a fabulous demonstration and encouraged and supported us throughout our experience. As a result we all designed and made 3 beautiful pieces of individualised jewellery. We would highly recommend this workshop to anyone. It was a wonderfully relaxed experience in a fabulous setting."
